CAMDEN, N.J. (Sept. 21, 2022) – The Immaculata University men's soccer team scored two goals in the last 12 minutes to stun Rutgers University-Camden, 3-2, in a non-conference game here Wednesday.
The Mighty Macs improved to 4-2-1, while the Scarlet Raptors fell to 3-5-1.
Leading, 2-1, late into the game, the Scarlet Raptors saw Immaculata tie the game on a long restart by sophomore midfielder Sean Franks, which skimmed over Raptor freshman goalie
Jordan Brickner's outstretched hands near the right post and into the net. Franks' goal came at 78:24.
With the clock winding down, a Raptor foul gave the Mighty Macs a free kick from 25 yards out top of the box. Sophomore midfielder Reed Lindsay took a shot headed near the left post which Brickner attempted to grab on a short hop. Instead, the ball caromed off the Raptor goalie and redirected into the net with 3:13 remaining.

Joseph Lodise scored his second career goal after a long run by grad student forward
Michael Campbell, who cut along the end line toward the goal from the right side. Nearing the post, he sent the ball to Lodise, who redirected in the first goal of the game at 16:22.
Immaculata tied the game 3:30 later when senior forward Justin Hahn finished off a cross from sophomore midfielder Michael Balestriere. Hahn, to the left side of the box, rifled a shot across into the upper right corner.
Rutgers-Camden regained the lead at the 28-minute mark on a 30-yard shot from sophomore midfielder
Ethan Dreyer. His second goal of the year was set up by a feed from senior back
Raimondo Partito.
Rutgers-Camden out-shot Immaculata, 14-7, and held an 11-3 advantage in corner kicks. Brickner made two saves, while his Immaculata counterpart, sophomore John Wilhelm, made seven saves, including a point-blank save late in the game.
The Scarlet Raptors return to action Saturday when they entertain William Paterson University in the New Jersey Athletic Conference opener for both teams.
