SEWELL, N.J. (May 8, 2023) – Rutgers University-Camden senior
Patrick DeMareo shot a 3-over par 74 to earn medalist honors as the Rutgers University-Camden golf team closed its season at the Roadrunner Classic Monday.
The invitational, hosted by Rowan College South Jersey – Gloucester, was held at the Par 6,095-yard, Par 71 Pitman Golf Course. The event featured Stockton University, the RCSJ-Gloucester men's team and the Scarlet Raptors, while the RCSJ-Gloucester women also competed.
Rutgers-Camden finished second among the three men's teams, shooting a 320 to place one stroke behind Stockton. The RCSJ men shot a 337. The RCSJ women shot 400.
DeMareo's 74 led a field of 24 golfers and was four strokes ahead of a pair of golfers, Raptor freshman
Pearse Lee and Stockton's Stephen Peters, both with a round of 78.

Reid Walker – tied for 12th place with RCSJ's Jack Wheaton, all shooting an 86.
Rutgers-Camden senior
Robert Wolfram, competing as an individual, shot a 98 to tie for 19th.
DeMareo finished the spring semester with a 75.0 average in eight rounds over six invitationals, including the two rounds of the United East Conference Championships, when he captured First Team honors.
Lee averaged 81.7 in seven rounds this spring, while Gibson averaged 84.5 in eight rounds. Walker averaged 85.5 in eight rounds and Lewbart averaged 90.0 in eight rounds. Wolfram, who played three rounds, averaged 101.7.
As a team, the Scarlet Raptors averaged 327.3 in their eight rounds, while posting a 32-22 spring record. They finished fourth of nine teams at the United East Conference Championships.
