Walker leads Raptor golfers on first day of Lancaster Bible Invitational
LEBANON, Penn. (Oct. 27, 2024) – The Rutgers University-Camden golf team stands in third place out of 10 teams after the first day of the two-day Lancaster Bible College Invitational here Sunday.
The event, held at the Par 72, 6,562-yard Lebanon County Club, saw Rutgers-Camden shoot an opening-day 326, six strokes behind leader Hood College and two strokes behind second-place Penn State-Harrisburg.
Junior
Reid Walker led the Scarlet Raptors in the first-round with a 6-over par 78, tying for fifth place out of the 50 golfers in the field. He is three strokes behind leader Nathan Leppo of Hood.
Freshman
Andrew Slattery and junior
Glenn Foley both carded an 82 to sit in a tie for 14th place, while junior
Pearse Lee shot an 84 to land in a tie for 21st place. Sophomore
Santino Leone is in a tie for 32nd place after the first day with a round of 88.
The Scarlet Raptors will close their fall semester schedule Monday with the final round of the Lancaster Bible College Invitational.
