LEBANON, Penn. (Oct. 28, 2024) – The Rutgers University-Camden golf team finished third out of 10 teams after the final round of the two-day Lancaster Bible College Invitational here Monday.
The event, held at the Par 72, 6,562-yard Lebanon County Club, saw Rutgers-Camden finish 13 strokes behind team champion Hood College and five strokes behind second-place Penn State-Harrisburg.
The Scarlet Raptors (326-328—654) and Lancaster Bible (328-326—654) both shot a two-day total of 654, but Rutgers-Camden took third place on the strength of its fifth-place golfer, sophomore
Santino Leone, who shot an 88-86—174 to defeat the Chargers' fifth-place golfer. Leone finished tied for 31st out of 50 golfers.
Junior
Reid Walker paced the Raptors at their last invitational of the fall season. Walker shot a 78-82—160 to tie for seventh place. Freshman
Andrew Slattery tied for 12th place with a two-day total of 82-82—164, while a pair of juniors,
Glenn Foley and
Pearse Lee, tied for 16th place. Foley carded a total of 82-83—165 and Lee shot a two-day total of 84-81—165.
