Marini closes Raptor career placing third at Widener Final Qualifier
CHESTER, Penn. (May 13, 2024) – Rutgers University-Camden senior
Alexis Marini competed in the Widener Final Qualifier meet here Monday in hopes of improving her season-best hammer throw of 51.21 meters, set on April 20 at the Paul Donahue Invitational.
Marini, who entered the day with her best throw ranking 31st in the NCAA Division III standings, finished third out of 17 athletes, but her top throw of 50.83 meters fell short of her PR set last month.
Marini closed her brilliant senior season with numerous accomplishments, including winning the New Jersey Athletic Conference championship in the hammer throw on May 4, earning NJAC First Team honors.
