CAMDEN, N.J. (Sept. 12, 2024) – After opening the season with four losses in four road matches, the Rutgers University-Camden volleyball team has won two of its last three matches since returning home. The latest one came here Thursday night as the Scarlet Raptors swept past Immaculata University, 25-9, 25-13 and 25-19.
The win lifts Rutgers-Camden to 2-5, while Immaculata falls to 2-3.

Immaculata won the first three points of the second set before Rutgers-Camden scored the next five points to take the lead for good. The Raptors posted a 25-13 victory, capped off by back-to-back kills from Francis and Parrish.
In the third set, Gbolahan had three kills and sophomore defensive specialist/libero
Madison Snelgrove collected a pair of aces, helping to stake the Scarlet Raptors to an 8-0 lead. They held off the Mighty Macs, 25-19 to complete the sweep.
Gbolahan finished with nine kills, hit .538, and added two aces, three digs, one solo block and one block assist. Francis had seven kills and hit .429, while adding three block assists. Both Parrish and sophomore outside hitter/right side
Sofia Granieri had six kills apiece. Granieri added three service aces and three digs, while Parrish also had one dig and one block assist.
Ang led the team with 18 assists and 12 digs for a double-double, while also collecting two service aces. Sophomore setter
JoAnna Andrews notched eight assists, one ace and five digs.
Owens had nine digs, while Snelgrove finished with three aces and four digs. Wiemer tied Francis for team-high honors with three block assists.
The Scarlet Raptors return to action Saturday with a tri-match at Penn State-Harrisburg in Middletown, Pennsylvania. Rutgers-Camden faces Wilkes University at 2 p.m. and the host team at 4 p.m.
