Rutgers-Camden men run at Herb Lorenz Invitational
EWING, N.J. (Sept. 20, 2024) –With the Rutgers University-Camden women's cross country team taking a week off, the Scarlet Raptor men competed here Friday night in a 6K race at the Herb Lorenz Invitational, held at The College of New Jersey.
The Raptors Scarlet Raptors finished fifth out of eight teams with 142 points in the meet won by St. Joseph's, with 24. Ramapo's Ryan Pena posted a time of 19:03.5 to lead a pack of 69 runners.
Sophomore co-captain
Jacob Dinerman paced the Scarlet Raptors and finished fourth overall in a time of 19:18.1. Freshman
Josiah Saint Elien led a pack of Raptors by finishing 40th (23:23.0), ahead of freshman
Yaniel Colon (41st at 24:10.9) and freshman
Kristopher Ewell (42nd, 24:19.4).
Freshman
Antonio Busbee finished 48th (26:48.1) and sophomore co-captain
Angel Chaj was 55th (28:31.4). Competing in his first race as a Scarlet Raptor was freshman
Daniel Casasola, who placed 56th in a time of 29:02.1.
The Scarlet Raptors will return to action on Saturday, October 5, when they run at Cairn University's Highlander Invitational, beginning with a 6K women's race at 10 a.m.
