CAMDEN, N.J. (September 21, 2024) – After starting its season with an 0-3-1 record, the Rutgers University-Camden women's soccer team has caught fire.
The Scarlet Raptors evened their record here Saturday as they raced past John Jay College, 5-2, in a non-conference game, extending their unbeaten streak to four games (3-0-1) and their winning streak to three. The results left Rutgers-Camden with a 3-3-2 season mark.

Rutgers-Camden dominated both halves but was tied 1-1 at halftime despite a 12-3 advantage in shots and a 3-1 edge in corner kicks. The Raptors' goal was scored by Jackson-Conner at 22:47, heading in a shot toward goal by Reeves, but with only 29 seconds remaining in the half, John Jay tied the game as graduate student forward Olivia Boucher headed home a corner kick by junior Emma Fisher.
Early in the second half, Stowell gave the Raptors a 2-1 lead, striking a 20-yard shot into the left side of the goal in the 52nd minute. Midway through the half, Crowley and Horne took turns assisting each other on scoring strikes. Horne scored at 67:21 with a high shot after being fed by Crowley. She returned the favor moments later, assisting Crowley's goal at 68:24.
Jackson-Conner closed out the Raptors' scoring at 81:59, following a long pass by Patitucci. The Bloodhounds' Boucher scored her second goal of the game at the 83-minute mark for the final tally. She was assisted by junior Mikayla Schoch.
Rutgers-Camden finished with a 24-6 advantage in shots, including a 10-4 margin on goal. The Scarlet Raptors also held a 4-2 edge in corner kicks.

Michaela Graham made two saves, while freshman Gianna Duarte had four saves while playing the first 82:03 in goal for John Jay. Junior keeper Cailyn MacLellan played the final 7:57, making one save.
Rutgers-Camden hosts Arcadia University Tuesday at 7 p.m.
