Rutgers-Camden golfers open on soggy day at Dickinson Invitational

CARLISLE, Penn. (Sept. 23, 2024) – The Rutgers University-Camden golf team opened its 2024-25 season here Monday on a wet, rainy day, finishing 12th of 20 teams at the Dickinson College Fall Invitational.
 
The event was held at the Par 72, 6,670-yard Carlisle Barracks Golf Course.
 
Rutgers-Camden finished with a 315 score in the event won by Millersville, which shot 292. Millersville's Timothy Peters was the medalist with a round of 67 in a field of 99 golfers.
 
Junior Pearse Lee paced the Raptors with a round of 77 to finish tied for 27th, while junior Reid Walker shot a 78 to tie for 36th. Sophomore Santino Leone and freshman Andrew Slattery both shot a round of 80, tying for 52nd place.
 
Junior Glenn Foley shot an 87 for the Scarlet Raptors to tie for 88th place.
 
The Scarlet Raptors return to action Monday, October 7, when they play in the United East Preview at the Chambersburg Country Club in Chambersburg, Penn.
