GLASSBORO, N.J. (Oct. 4, 2025) – The Rutgers University-Camden women's soccer team held nationally-ranked Rowan University to two goals here Saturday, but that proved to be more than enough as the Profs defeated the Scarlet Raptors, 2-0, in a New Jersey Athletic Conference game.
Rowan, ranked #18 in the national United Soccer Coaches Division III poll, improved to 8-1-1 overall and 3-0 in the NJAC with its fourth straight win.
Rutgers-Camden fell to 1-5-5 overall and 0-2-1 in NJAC play.
Rowan owns a 24-0-3 all-time record against Rutgers-Camden and has won its last seven games against the Scarlet Raptors since a 0-0 tie in 2018.

Giselle Lizardi to make nine saves, the second-highest total of her young career. She had 13 saves at Swarthmore on Sept. 3.
Lizardi owns a 1-3-5 record despite posting six shutouts and a 0.56 goals-against average. The Scarlet Raptors have been shut out in eight of her nine starts.
Rowan held an 11-0 advantage in shots in the opening half and scored the only goal it needed at 30:27 on a shot by senior midfielder Julianna Giordano, assisted by freshman Sophia Saladino.
The Profs added an insurance goal at 68:12 when Giordano assisted junior midfielder Sara Wiedeman's strike.
Overall, Rutgers-Camden had 10 saves, including a backsave, while Profs freshman goalie Leah Edinger didn't need to make a save in her shutout.
Rowan also held a 7-0 advantage in corner kicks, including 5-0 in the first half.
The Scarlet Raptors return to action on Wednesday night when they celebrate Senior Night with a non-conference match against FDU-Florham at 7 p.m.
