Pino named NJAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
CAMDEN, N.J. (Oct. 6, 2025) – The Rutgers University-Camden men's soccer team remained on top of the New Jersey Athletic Conference by winning both of its NJAC games last week, and one of the big reasons for the Scarlet Raptors' success was the play of sophomore midfielder
Dylan Pino (Marlton, NJ/Cherokee).
The conference recognized his accomplishments Monday when it honored Pino as the NJAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
During conference wins over Rutgers University-Newark (2-1, Oct. 1) and 10th-ranked Rowan University (4-3, Oct. 4) last week, Pino collected two goals and two assists. He notched the game-winning goal at Newark with 5:57 remaining, coming less than seven minutes after the Scarlet Raiders had tied the game at 1-1. In the Rowan game, he assisted on the Scarlet Raptors' first goal by
Antonio Yantas only 3:05 into the game and padded the margin to 2-0 with a goal of his own at 18:07. Late in the game, after Rowan had cut the Raptors' lead to 3-2, Pino assisted on the eventual game-winning goal by
Nik Grello.
Pino is tied for third on the Scarlet Raptors in scoring midway through the season, with three goals and three assists for nine points. He has started all 10 of his games, helping the Scarlet Raptors compile a 6-3-2 record overall, a 3-0 mark in the NJAC, a three-game winning streak and a four-game unbeaten streak (3-0-1).
During his freshman season in 2024, Pino appeared in 20 of the Raptors' 21 games, starting eight, and collecting one assist.
A Dean's List student as a Business major, Pino was a member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director's Honor Roll for both the 2024 Fall and 2025 Spring semesters.
Pino was a South Jersey Soccer Coaches Association Third Team honoree as a senior at Cherokee High School.
In addition to his NJAC weekly honor, Pino was named Rutgers-Camden's Raptor of the Week on Monday.
