HAVERFORD, N.J. (Nov. 11, 2025) – The Haverford College women's basketball team outscored Rutgers University-Camden, 28-10, in the second quarter here Tuesday and went on to defeat the Scarlet Raptors, 72-54, in a non-conference game.
Rutgers-Camden falls to 0-2, while Haverford improves to 2-0.
With the Fords leading, 22-19, midway through the second half, Haverford opened up the game with a 22-3 run leading into halftime. The Fords led, 44-22, at the break and 57-41 heading into the final quarter.
Senior guard Caroline Orza paced Haverford with a double-double of 24 points and 11 rebounds, while freshman guard Bri Heafey scored 13 points and junior guard Shae Mercer added 11. Junior forward Audrey Jakway contributed 10 rebounds as the Fords held a 45-32 advantage off the glass.

Courtney Edmundo paced Rutgers-Camden with 22 points and nine rebounds, while sophomore guard
Hope Goodwine scored 15 points and dished out four assists.
Haverford shot 28-for-57 from the floor (49.1 percent) and 10-fr-14 (71.4) from the foul line. Rutgers-Camden went 19-for-64 from the floor (29.7) and 8-for-16 (50.0) from the line.
Rutgers-Camden hosts its own mixer Scarlet Raptor Classic tournament this weekend with two games on Friday and Saturday nights at 6 and 8 p.m. On Friday, the pre-set matchup finds Rutgers-Newark facing FDU-Florham at 6 p.m. and the Scarlet Raptors playing Baruch at 8 p.m. On Saturday, Rutgers-Newark plays Baruch at 6 p.m. and Rutgers-Camden faces FDU-Florham at 8 p.m.
