CAMDEN, N.J. (Nov. 5, 2025) – The Rutgers University-Camden women's soccer team received plenty of contributions this season on its way to earning the fourth seed in the New Jersey Athletic Conference playoffs.

Three of the Scarlet Raptors were recognized for their outstanding play when the All-NJAC Women's Soccer Team was announced today.

Senior back Gianna Patitucci (Millville, NJ/Our Lady of Mercy Academy) and freshman goalkeeper Giselle Lizardi (Brick, NJ/Brick Memorial) earned berths on the NJAC Second Team, while freshman back Meghan Gorman (Gloucester City, NJ/Gloucester City) was named NJAC Honorable Mention.

That trio of defensive stalwarts helped Rutgers-Camden post eight shutouts and a 0.95 goals-against average during the season. It was the team's third-lowest single-season goals-against average in program history.

A three-year Rutgers-Camden letterwinner after spending her freshman season at West Virginia Wesleyan College, Patitucci has been an anchor in the Scarlet Raptors' back throughout her career. She captured NJAC Honorable Mention in her first season at Rutgers-Camden in 2023 and has earned NJAC Second Team honors in both 2024 and 2025.

One of the Scarlet Raptors' team captains during both the 2024 and 2025 seasons, Patitucci played in 54 games at Rutgers-Camden, starting 53, and producing two goals and two assists for six points. She had one game-winning goal, coming in a 1-0 win over Kean this season on Oct. 25.

Defensively, Patitucci helped the Scarlet Raptors notch 21 shutouts over her career and played a huge role in helping the team post two of the top three goals-against averages in program history. In 2023, Rutgers-Camden notched a 0.89 GAA for its second-best mark ever, while it had a 0.95 mark this season.

Patitucci was named the NJAC Defensive Player of the Week on September 22, 2025, and was Rutgers-Camden's Raptor of the Week on Oct. 27 this season.

Coupled with her freshman season at West Virginia Wesleyan, Patitucci played in 63 career games, starting 58. She had two goals and three assists for seven career points.

A Health Sciences major, Patitucci is a Dean's List student who has been named to the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director's Honor Roll during each of her four full semesters on campus. In addition to her All-NJAC honors on the soccer pitch, she was named NJAC Academic Honorable Mention for the 2024-25 scholastic year.

Lizardi stepped into the role as the Scarlet Raptors' starting goalie during the second game of the season and made three saves while registering a 0-0 shutout against McDaniel College (Aug. 31). She followed up that game with a season-high 13 saves in a 0-0 tie at Swarthmore College (Sept. 3). Those two games were among the five times she helped the Scarlet Raptors post a 0-0 tie.

For the season, Lizardi started 16 of her 17 games, notched 75 saves and posted a .882 save percentage. Her eight shutouts were the second-highest single-season total for any Scarlet Raptor goalie and her 0.62 goals-against average was the third-lowest total in program history.

Lizardi finished with a deceptive 4-6-7 goalie record only because Rutgers-Camden suffered a shutout in 11 games, including her first four starts. She notched her first career win with a 2-0 victory at Bryn Mawr on Sept. 16, making four saves.

From Sept. 10-27, Lizardi posted 387:24 consecutive shutout minutes, the fourth-longest streak ever for a Rutgers-Camden goalie.

Lizardi was named Rutgers-Camden's Raptor of the Week on Sept. 2 and captured honors as the NJAC Rookie of the Week on Sept. 8.

A multi-sport letterwinner at Brick Memorial High School, Lizardi captured three varsity letters in both soccer and softball and one in basketball. She was a two-time All-State soccer honoree among her numerous other soccer honors.

A Business major at Rutgers-Camden, she plans a career in law enforcement.

Gorman had a standout rookie season as a centerback for the Scarlet Raptors. She played in 18 of the team's 19 games, starting all 18, including every one of the eight Rutgers-Camden shutouts.

Gorman added one goal for two points, scoring the tying goal in a 1-1 deadlock against FDU-Florham on Oct. 8.

A four-year soccer letterwinner and three-time First Team All-Conference player at Gloucester City High School, she earned All-South Jersey honors during both her junior and senior seasons.

A member of the National Honor Society in high school, Gorman is a Nursing major at Rutgers-Camden.
