Three Raptors compete in shot put on first day of Danny Curran Invitational

CHESTER, Penn. (March 28, 2025) – The Rutgers University-Camden track program saw three athletes compete in the shot put on the first day of the Danny Curran Invitational here Friday.
 
On the men's side, sophomore Dyheim Watson set a PR of 11.89 meters and finished 33rd of 54 athletes.
 
The 61-athlete field in the women's shot put included junior Kayla Franklin and senior Francis Hill. Franklin placed 21st with a PR of 10.43 meters, while Hill was 48th with a shot put of 9.01 meters.
 
The bulk of the Scarlet Raptors' team will compete in Chester on Saturday for the second day of the Danny Curran Invitational.
