WAYNE, N.J. (April 10, 2025) – The weather may have been overcast and cold, but the Rutgers University-Camden golf team heated up the field here Thursday at the Pioneer Spring Invitational.
Rutgers-Camden carded a 305 team score to win the five-team event by four strokes over second-place Drew University. The win gave the Scarlet Raptors an 11-2 record over two invitationals to start the spring season.
The event was held at the Par 70, 6,237-yard Preakness Valley Golf Course and was hosted by William Paterson University.

Reid Walker shot a five-over par 75 to tie for the low score with three other players. Drew's Ryan Ricci earned medalist honors on a match of cards.

Santino Leone were one stroke back at 76, tying for fourth place.

Glenn Foley tied for eighth place with a round of 78. Two other Raptors, freshmen
Jack Sheehan and
Andrew Slattery, shot an 82 to tie for 13th place in the field of 30 golfers.
The Scarlet Raptors will return to play Monday and Tuesday at the two-day Lancaster Bible College Invitational. The event will be held at the Lebanon Country Club.
