Rutgers-Camden throwers post PRs at Widener meet
CHESTER, Penn. (April 18, 2025) – The Rutgers University-Camden track team sent five of its throwers to Widener University Friday for the first day of the Paul Donahue Invitational, and the Scarlet Raptors combined for five PR distances between the shot put and the discus competitions.
Junior
Kayla Franklin posted a PR in both the discus and the shot put, senior
Francis Hill had a PR in the shot put, sophomore
Dyheim Watson set a discus PR and senior
Amir Lindor notched his PR in the shot put.
On the women's side, Franklin finished fifth of 41 athletes in the shot put with her PR of 11.82 meters, while Hill was 22nd with a PR of 10.09 meters. Franklin also placed 19th of 32 in the discus with a PR of 32.94 meters.
For the men, Watson finished 15th of 31 in the discus with a PR of 38.58 meters, while also placing 23rd of 33 in the shot put (11.03 meters).
The Raptors also saw Lindor finish 16th in the shot put with his PR of 11.87 meters and junior
Walter Pierce placed 29th with a shot put of 10.14 meters.
The Scarlet Raptors will return to action Saturday for the final day of the Paul Donahue Invitational.
