Raptors finish third, Walker places sixth at United East Championships

CHAMBERSBURG, Penn. (April 26, 2025) – The Rutgers University-Camden golf team shot a second-round score of 338 to finish the two-day United East Conference Championships third out of nine teams here Saturday.
 
The Raptors had a two-day total of 338-338—676 to finish 26 strokes behind United East champion Penn College, which shot 324-326—650 over the two days. Penn State-Berks finished second, five strokes ahead of Rutgers-Camden at 336-335—671.
 
The championships were held at the Par 73, 6,801-yard Chambersburg Country Club.
 
Jake Rotelle of Lancaster Bible was the conference champion, shooting 78-74—152 to finish two strokes ahead of Penn State-Berks' Peyton Moyer.
 
Junior Reid Walker led the Scarlet Raptors and finished sixth out of 43 golfers with a two-day total of 81-82—163. Sophomore Santino Leone carded an 85-84—169 to tie for 11th place, while freshman Andrew Slattery shot 85-85—170 to tie for 13th place. Junior Pearse Lee shot an 87-87—174 to tie for 19th, while junior Glenn Foley carded an 89-88—177 to place 24th.

Walker earned United East First Team honors, while Leone and Slattery were named to the United East Second Team and Lee captured Third Team recognition.
 
Penn College will advance to the NCAA Division III Championships, which will be held at the Midvale Country Club in Penfield, New York, from May 20-23.
