ABINGTON, Penn. (Sept. 27, 2025) – The Rutgers University-Camden men's tennis team was missing two of its players when it traveled here to Penn State-Abington for a non-conference match Saturday.
As a result, the Scarlet Raptors were forced to forfeit a pair of singles matches and the third doubles match, and the Nittany Lions posted a 5-2 victory in their season opener.
Rutgers-Camden fell to 2-2.
The Scarlet Raptors earned wins at first singles, 6-1, 6-2, behind freshman
Max Cabida, and at third singles, 6-3, 6-4, behind junior
John Brady.

Julian Pinder dropped his match at second singles, 6-1, 6-0, and the Raptors lost at fourth singles, 6-1, 6-2, with freshman
Isan Salamanca. Abington won forfeits at fifth and sixth singles.
In the two contested doubles matches, Cabida and Pinder lost at the top spot, 6-4, and Brady and Salamanca dropped a 6-2 decision at second doubles.
The Scarlet Raptors return to action on Saturday with a 12 p.m. match at DeSales University.
