CAMDEN, N.J. (Jan. 12, 2026) – Joe Pavlow fashioned a legendary career during his time at Penn State-Abington, and he was recognized for his accomplishments on Saturday.

Pavlow, who has served as Rutgers University-Camden's Associate Director of Athletics since November of 2025, was one of 10 honorees inducted into the inaugural class of the Penn State Abington Ogontz Hall of Fame on January 10. The induction ceremony was held at the Philmont Country Club in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania.

Pavlow served as the Associate Director of Athletics and Head Baseball Coach at Penn State University-Abington from August 2008 through March 2018, where he led the Nittany Lions to 181 victories and helped the school make the transition to the NCAA Division III level. He led the Nittany Lions to seven North Eastern Athletic Conference tournament berths and five regular-season championships (2011, 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017). He was a three-time Conference Coach of the Year (2009, 2016 and 2017), posted five seasons of 20 or more wins and produced 31 All-NEAC players. Two of his players were honored as the NEAC Player of the Year and one of them was the NEAC Rookie of the Year.

Among his many administrative duties, Pavlow served as the Compliance Director and was the Athletic Department's representative for major fund-raising initiatives.

A 1997 graduate of Rutgers-Camden with a B.A. in Economics, Pavlow received his M.S. in Sports Administration from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania in 2015. Since returning to Rutgers-Camden, Pavlow has been in charge of overseeing NCAA Compliance, Student-Athlete Academic Success and Transportation, among other duties.

Pavlow served as an assistant baseball coach at Rutgers-Camden from June 2007 to August 2008, before beginning his career path at Penn State-Abington. He was the Director of Athletics at Rosemont College (March 2018-September 2021), where he also served as a Sports Management Professor (February 2019-May 2021), and became the Director of Athletics at Raritan Valley Community College in September of 2021.

Pavlow's many accomplishments at Rosemont College included helping to increase enrollment, adding a baseball program and renovating the gymnasium. He served on numerous committees, including the NCAA Regional Advisory Committee for the Mid-Atlantic Region, the campus retention committee, the Cleary Act team and the Provost's Academic Council. Pavlow served as the Deputy Title IX Coordinator and was the AD Chair of the Colonial States Athletic Conference and the CSAC Membership Task Force.

During his time at Raritan Valley Community College, Pavlow developed a strategic plan to generate revenue and secured rental clients to increase revenue by $150,000 per year. Raritan Valley sent its men's basketball, men's soccer and women's volleyball teams to nationals during Pavlow's tenure. He also served on the Region XIX Baseball and Championship Committee.

Pavlow is married to the former Kim Kellogg, a multi-sport star (basketball, track and cross country) who was the Rutgers-Camden Female Athlete of the Year during the 1995-96 scholastic year. The couple have three children, Luke, Chase and Brooke, and reside in Holland, Pennsylvania.
