PHILADELPHIA, Penn. (Feb. 27, 2026) – The Rutgers University-Camden men's track team scored 43 points, its most at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Indoor Track  & Field Championships since a program-record 72 in the 2018-19 season, as the Scarlet Raptors completed the two-day conference meet here Friday. The NJAC Indoor Championships started last Saturday before the final day was postponed by the weekend snowstorm.

The Raptor men finished sixth of nine programs, while the women finished ninth with four points.

Rutgers-Camden saw two of its men break their own program records, including senior Walter Pierce, who won the eight-athlete heptathlon event by scoring 4,230 points. He broke his own mark of 3,897 points, set at the 2025 NJAC Championships. He finished the second day of the heptathlon with the final three events, placing second in the pole vault (a PR of 3.51 meters), fourth in the 60-meter hurdles (9.36) and sixth in the 1,000-meter run (3:12.01).

Junior Jacob Dinerman broke his own program record in the mile, running a 4:09.85 to finish second out of 16 athletes in the event. His old mark of 4:10.92 was set on Feb. 7, 2025, at the FastTrack National Invitational. Dinerman also placed fourth out of 16 athletes at 800 meters (1:55.42).

The men's team also had two other second-place finishes, as freshman Jayden Deleon placed second of 17 with a high jump of 2.03 meters, barely missing his own program record of 2.05 meters. Junior Dyheim Watson, meanwhile, set his PR of 15.55 meters in the weight throw while finishing second of 15 athletes.

The men also saw sophomore Kristopher Ewell finish 13th of 25 in the 400-meter dash (a PR of 50.55) and freshman Dylan Davies set his PR at 3,000 meters (9:55.37) while finishing 10th of 15.

Leading the Raptor women was senior Kayla Franklin, who finished ninth of 18 in the weight throw (11.39 meters) and junior Sydnie Marshall, who was 10th of 18 in the 400-meter dash (1:03.01).
