EWING, N.J. (Feb. 4, 2026) – Senior guard Nick Koch scored 30 points to power The College of New Jersey men's basketball team over Rutgers University-Camden, 79-68, in a New Jersey Athletic Conference game here Wednesday night.
The Lions, who received six votes this week toward the D3hoops.com Top 25 poll, improved to 16-5 overall and 11-3 in the NJAC with their sixth straight win. It was their 23rd straight win against Rutgers-Camden dating back to 2014 and gives TCNJ an 81-18 lead in the all-time series.
The Scarlet Raptors fell to 10-10 overall and 5-9 in the conference.
Rutgers-Camden scored the first five points, but TCNJ rallied to take its first lead, 14-13, on a layup by senior guard Anthony Milligan. That field goal, in the midst of a seven-point run, sparked the Lions to a 16-13 lead. They led, 34-27, at halftime before Rutgers-Camden rallied back.
The Scarlet Raptors took their final lead, 39-38, with 17:02 remaining in the game when freshman guard
Romelo Mangum hit a three-pointer. TCNJ scored the next six points to take a 44-39 lead. A pair of free throws by senior forward Matthew Solomon put the Lions ahead to stay, 40-39. They led by as many as 13 points, 79-66, before the final buzzer.
Koch shot 11-for-22 from the floor, including 1-for-3 from three-point range, and 7-for-7 from the foul line for his 30 points. He also added nine rebounds and a game-high six assists.
Solomon collected a double-double of 19 points and a game-high 12 rebounds, while senior guard Jonathan Okocha scored 11 points.

Makai Crawford and eight apiece from Mangum and senior forward
Cameron Downs.
With his big night, Benjamin raised his career point total to 839 and his three treys broke his tie for second place on the all-time Rutgers-Camden list. He now has 158 career treys, second only to the 206 by Brian O'Donnell (1986-90).
TCNJ shot 27-for-54 from the floor (50.0 percent) and 20-for-24 (83.3) from the line, while holding a 35-24 advantage off the boards. Rutgers-Camden went 24-for-53 (45.3) from the floor and 11-for-15 (73.3) from the line.
