Raptors' Edmundo adds another weekly NJAC honor
CAMDEN, N.J. (Feb. 9, 2026) – It's becoming a habit for Rutgers University-Camden sophomore forward
Courtney Edmundo.
When the New Jersey Athletic Conference selects its weekly women's basketball honorees on Monday, there's a good chance that Edmundo will be among them.
Edmundo was named the NJAC Player of the Week today, marking her second such honor in three weeks. Sandwiched between those awards last week was her second honor of the season as the NJAC Defensive Player of the Week,
Edmundo also captured her third honor this season as Rutgers-Camden's Raptor of the Week on Monday, marking her second straight week with that recognition.
Edmundo's latest honors come after a monster week in which she collected 46 points and 37 rebounds in the Scarlet Raptors' two games, running her string of double-doubles to eight straight contests. She has 13 double-doubles in the team's 22 games this year.
Edmundo leads Rutgers-Camden in scoring (15.6 ppg), rebounding (10.4 rpg), steals (42) and blocked shots (35). She is second on the Raptors with 56 assists. She also leads the team in field goal percentage (118-for-243, .486) and is a close second in free throw percentage (91-for-122, .746).
In a game at The College of New Jersey on Wednesday, Edmundo scored 26 points and set a career high with 17 rebounds, while adding two assists and one blocked shot. Her career rebounding high didn't last long, as she broke that mark with 20 rebounds, while adding 20 points at Kean University on Saturday. She also added five steals, three assists and three blocked shots.
For the week, Edmundo shot 18-for-34 from the floor (.529) and 7-for-8 (.875) from the foul line.
Edmundo's sensational sophomore season comes on the heels of a stellar freshman season in which she won four honors as the NJAC Rookie of the Week and also earned Honorable Mention at the John K. Adams Tip-Off Classic from Nov. 15-17.
In only 47 career games, Edmundo owns 609 points and 446 rebounds.
