Rutgers-Camden women ready to host ECAC game against Cedar Crest
CAMDEN, N.J. (March 3, 2026) – The Rutgers University-Camden women's basketball team already has made the 2025-26 season a memorable one, posting a berth in the New Jersey Athletic Conference playoffs, featuring an All-NJAC First Team player and collecting its most wins since a 15-11 season in 2018-19.
The Scarlet Raptors are set to make more history on Saturday when they host an ECAC Women's Basketball Championship quarterfinal game against Cedar Crest College at 6 p.m. The Raptors (14-13) enter the tournament as the fourth seed, while the Falcons (18-9) are the fifth seed.
The winner of Saturday's game will play a semifinal contest at top-seeded McDaniel College on Saturday, March 14.

Saturday's game will mark the ninth ECAC appearance for Rutgers-Camden, which owns an 8-6 mark in its previous eight ECAC tournaments. The Scarlet Raptors were the ECAC champions during both the 1991-92 and 1994-95 seasons.
Saturday also will mark Rutgers-Camden's first ECAC game since February 28, 2018, when the Scarlet Raptors lost a 68-51 decision at Stevenson University. The team's last ECAC win came in the 2002 semifinals held at New York University, when Rutgers-Camden beat then-Richard Stockton College, 61-58, before losing the title game against NYU.
That run in the 2001-02 season also included the last time Rutgers-Camden hosted an ECAC game when it defeated the College of Staten Island, 84-41, in a quarterfinal matchup on Feb. 27. Overall, the Scarlet Raptors are 5-0 in their previous ECAC home games.

Courtney Edmundo, who earned NJAC First Team honors after a stellar sophomore season. Edmundo leads the team in scoring (16.1 ppg), rebounding (10.7 rpg), steals (56) and blocks (37), while ranking second on the team with 70 assists. She compiled 16 double-doubles this season, including a stretch of 11 straight from Jan. 14-Feb. 18.

Hope Goodwine leads the team with 77 assists, while averaging 11.9 points per game. Junior guard/forward
Tamea El is averaging 9.3 points and 7.9 rebounds., while adding 45 assists.
Cedar Crest College enters the ECAC tournament after falling in the semifinals to eventual United East Conference champion St. Mary's College of Maryland, 39-32. That loss snapped the Falcons' six-game winning streak.
Sophomore guard Ella Bincarosky leads the team in scoring (16.9 ppg) and is tied for second on the team with 67 steals. Junior guard Analyse Rios also has 67 steals, while averaging 12.3 points and placing second on the club with 103 assists.
Junior forward Samora Merchant is averaging 11.8 points and leads the team in rebounding (9.4 rpg) and blocks (75), while sophomore guard Ginger Kerdock has a team-high 132 assists.
