Pearse Lee...two-day total of 79-84--163
Raptors forced to withdraw at Franklin & Marshall Spring Invitational
LITITZ, Penn. (April 20, 2026) – The Rutgers University-Camden golf team entered Monday's second round of the Franklin & Marshall Spring Invitational knowing that it wouldn't have a chance to win or move up the leaderboard ladder at the two-day event.
Unfortunately for the Scarlet Raptors, two of their five golfers who started the invitational on Sunday were sidelined by illness on Monday, leaving the team with only three players for the second round. Rutgers-Camden, which sat in fifth place out of 15 teams after Sunday's first round, couldn't field the minimum four golfers to complete the invitational.
Max Silverman led Franklin & Marshall's A team to the title with a two-day total of 284-296—580 to defeat a field of 14 teams that completed the invitational. Franklin & Marshall's B team finished second with a team score of 308-307—615.
Silverman was the medalist with a 3-under par 66-73—139 score at the invitational, which was held at the Par 71 Bent Creek Country Club.
Out of the three Raptors to compete on Monday, senior
Pearse Lee shot a round of 84, to post a two-day total of 79-84—163. He tied for 35th out of the 76-man field. Freshman
Nick Seaver and sophomore
Andrew Slattery tied for 42nd place with two-day totals of 165. Seaver shot 78 on Sunday and 87 on Monday, while Slattery had rounds of 79 and 86, respectively.
In the first round on Sunday, senior
Reid Walker shot a 79 and senior
Ryan Macuch had an 89.
Rutgers-Camden will return to action Friday and Saturday at the United East Championships, which will be held at the Dauphin Highlands Golf Course in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
