Biography

Returning from injuries and playing hurt most of the season, Joe Sigismondi was held far below his normal standards in 2015, but he still hit several career milestones while continuing his climb up the program’s all-time ladders.

Forced into a designated hitter role during his junior season as he recovered, Sigismondi hit .216. Entering his senior season, Sigismondi ranks second on the program’s career list with 17 sacrifices (one shy of the record) and with 33 HBP. He is eighth in assists (226, despite being limited to only three defensively last year), tied for 14th in runs scored (75), 15th in double plays (29), 16th in hits (116) and 19th in both batting average and total chances (399).
