A strong force off the boards, Irene Grimanis returns for her fourth season with the Scarlet Raptors’ basketball program. Grimanis, who has averaged 5.8 rebounds per game during her collegiate career, has 421 total rebounds, including 248 defensive boards. She needs only 65 more rebounds to tie for 10th on the program’s career list, and if she matches her junior season total of 157 boards, she’d vault to ninth on the all-time chart.
Grimanis has played in 73 of the Scarlet Raptors’ 74 games during her career. If she plays the entire 25-game schedule she would tie for fifth on the program’s all-time list, and an additional two post-season games would make her only the third player in program history to appear in 100 or more games.
