Rutgers-Camden Athletics

After missing the entire 2014 season with injuries, Eric Hurff played a big role on the Scarlet Raptors’ 2015 New Jersey Athletic Conference championship squad. A junior academically with sophomore eligibility, Hurff returns to the Raptor midfield this season.
 
Soccer 2015: Played in 20 games, starting 11…Scored one goal for two points…Took eight shots, two on goal…Made his collegiate debut by playing 41 minutes off the bench in the season-opening 9-0 win over Rosemont College (Sept. 1)…After three games as a sub, made his first start and played 75 minutes in a 3-2 win over Manhattanville College (Sept. 12) at the Cialella Soccer Classic…Started, played his season-high of 95 minutes and took his first shot the next day against the nation’s top-ranked team, Christopher Newport University, as the Scarlet Raptors played to a 0-0 double-overtime tie…Scored his first collegiate goal in a 7-1 win over Misericordia University (Sept. 23), collecting the first goal of the game only 1:37 into the contest…Played in five of the Raptors’ eight shutouts, starting three.
 
High School: Soccer letterman for Coach Steve Rolando at St. Augustine Prep…All-South Jersey as a junior.
 
Personal: Born April 18, 1996…Nicknamed “Sensei”…Club soccer for Match Fit Academy…Hobbies and interests include crafts and make believe…His brother Connor was a three-year starter for the Scarlet Raptors from 2013-15…Has served on Rutgers-Camden’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)…Named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2016 spring semester…Eric is the son of Susan and Scott Hurff of Sewell.
