Biography

Brad Maine enters his final season of collegiate soccer after a stellar junior year, when he led the Scarlet Raptors in scoring and earned New Jersey Athletic Conference Honorable Mention.
 
8191During his three seasons, Maine has led the Scarlet Raptors to three NJAC playoff berths, two NJAC finals and one conference championship. He also helped the Raptors reach the NCAA Tournament once and the ECAC playoffs twice, including 2014 when Rutgers-Camden captured the ECAC Div. III Metro/Upstate title.
 
Maine has appeared in 68 career games at Rutgers-Camden, starting 39 and producing seven goals and eight assists for 22 points. Two of his goals have been game-winning tallies.
 
Soccer 2016: Appeared in 21 of the Raptors’ 22 games, starting all 21…Led the team in goals (six), assists (six) and points (18)…Two of his goals were game winners, tying for the team lead…Took 54 shots, putting 30 on goal for a .556 shooting percentage…Captured NJAC Honorable Mention…Notched assists in the season-opening 3-3 tie against St. Mary’s (Sept. 2) and a 4-0 win over Farmingdale State (Sept. 10)…Collected two goals (including his first career game winner) and added one assist in a 3-0 victory over Rutgers-Newark (Sept. 17)…The performance earned him honors as the Rutgers-Camden Raptor of the Week on Sept. 19…Scored the Raptors’ lone goal in a 2-1 loss to Rowan (Oct. 12)…Notched two goals, including the game winner, in a 4-2 victory over Kean (Oct. 15)…Collected an assist in a 4-2 loss to Montclair State (Oct. 29) in the NJAC playoffs and scored the Raptors’ lone goal in a 2-1 loss at New Rochelle (Nov. 5)…Collected two assists in a 3-1 win over Hunter College in the opening round of the ECAC Division III Men’s Soccer Championships (Nov. 12), assisting on Shane Guyer’s game-tying goal and an insurance tally by Patrick Grudnik.
 
8190Soccer 2015: Played in all 24 Raptor games, starting six…Notched one goal and one assist for three points…Took 14 shots, 11 of them on goal for a .786 shots on goal percentage…Played 45 minutes and took two shots on goal in the Raptors’ season-opening 9-0 win over Rosemont College (Sept. 1)…Made his first start of the season in a 1-0 loss at nationally-ranked Salisbury University (Sept. 6), playing 38 minutes…Scored his lone goal of the season to cap a 3-1 victory over New Jersey City University (Sept. 21)…Started four straight games in the middle of the season, beginning with a 7-1 win over Misericordia University (Sept. 23), where he assisted on the Raptors’ first goal, by Eric Hurff, only 1:37 into the contest…Started and played 58 minutes in a 1-0 win over nationally-ranked Rowan University (Sept. 30), taking two shots on goal…Played his season high of 79 minutes in the Raptors’ NJAC championship game win at Montclair State University (Nov. 7)…Played 49 minutes in the Raptors’ NCAA First Round tournament win over Eastern University (2-1, Nov. 14) and 48 in their Second Round loss to SUNY-Oneonta (2-0, Nov. 15).
 
Soccer 2014: Played in 23 games, making 12 starts for the Scarlet Raptors…Notched one assist…Had 17 shots, 11 on goal…Lone assist came on a goal by Clayton Taylor during a 1-1 tie at Richard Stockton College Oct. 29…Made collegiate debut against Franklin & Marshall College at the Scrapyard Classic (Aug. 29)…Had first career start against William Paterson University (Sept. 24) in the Raptors’ 3-1 win…Started all three games in the ECAC Div. III Metro/Upstate Men’s Soccer Championship (Nov. 12-16) as the Scarlet Raptors swept Sage Colleges (2-1, Nov. 12), New York University (1-0, Nov. 15) and Richard Stockton College (2-1, Nov. 16) to capture the title…Played all 90 minutes in the ECAC championship game against Stockton.
 
8194High School: Two-year soccer letterman at Camden Catholic High School as a freshman and a sophomore…Also lettered in cross country and track and field…Named Offensive MVP as a sophomore…Tutor at the Mary Esther Williams Homework Center in Camden…Buddy at TOPSoccer, a program that allows buddies to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to boys and girls with a mental or physical disability…Served as an assistant coach for track, cross country and soccer at Resurrection Catholic School for athletes from K-8…Worked with a water purification project as an exchange student in Lima, Peru, through the Rotary Exchange.
 
Club Team: Played in the United States Soccer Development Academy (USSDA) for Match Fit Academy and Coach Rob Leather from 2012-2014…Played for the South Jersey Barons of the Atlantic Soccer League (ASL) from 2009-2012, making the All-Event Teams at the Columbia Invitation (Columbia, Maryland, May 2012), the Triangle Friendlies (Fayetteville, North Carolina, January 2012) and the Jefferson Cup (Richmond, Virginia, March 2011)…From June-August, 2010, played with Futbol Club Deportivo Zela, Lima, Peru while attending EIGER – International School of Management in Lima, Peru…In the NY and NJ Olympic Development Program (ODP) from 2007-2011.
 
Personal: Born January 2, 1996…Bradly “Brad” Maine…Hobbies include collecting reptiles and fish, especially chameleons and tropical fish…Business major at Rutgers-Camden who plans to travel and work in finance following graduation…Bradly has one brother, Vinny, who is a freshman with the Scarlet Raptors’ cross country and track programs this season…Bradly is the son of Patty and Vince Maine of Cherry Hill.
