Biography
A three-year Rutgers-Camden volleyball letterwinner, Melanie Kaiser ranks among the program’s all-time leaders in numerous career categories. Entering her final collegiate season, Kaiser is second in career digs (1,172), third in digs per set (3.89), fourth in aces (139), eighth in sets (301) and tied for 12th in matches (84).

Volleyball 2015: Played in 93 sets over 26 matches…Compiled 215 digs, 52 service aces, 17 assists and 19 kills… Set a career match-high total with 9 service aces against Medgar Evers College (Oct. 24)… Her 9 service aces is third all-time in program history for Total Service Aces in a Three-Set Match… Named New Jersey Athletic Conference Academic Honorable Mention… Helped team reach the New Jersey Athletic Conference Tournament and the ECAC Metro/Upstate Volleyball Championship Tournament… Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)…Named to the inaugural Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll during the fall semester and repeated on the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll in the spring semester.

Volleyball 2014: Played in 89 sets over 26 matches…Compiled 394 digs, 49 assists and 37 service aces… Set career match-highs with 39 digs and seven service aces against Baruch College (Aug. 29)…Captured honors as the NJAC Defensive Player of the Week on Aug. 31…Member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

Volleyball 2013: Played in 119 sets over 32 matches…Compiled 563 digs, 23 assists and 50 service aces… Her 563 digs rank third on the Rutgers-Camden single-season chart…Notched her match-high total of 32 digs against Widener (Sept. 14)…Posted five service aces against New Jersey City University (Oct. 24)…Helped team reach the New Jersey Athletic Conference Tournament… Captured honors as the NJAC Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 8. High School: Three-time varsity volleyball letterwinner at Sterling High School for Coach Matt MacPherson…Captured First Team All-Olympic Conference honors in 2012…Named Second Team All-Olympic Conference in 2010 and 2011…First Team All-South Jersey in 2012…Second Team All-Group II in 2012…NJSCA Senior All-Star Team in 2012…Helped team win the Olympic Conference championship in 2009, 2011 and 2012…South Jersey Group II Champions in 2011…State Section A Champions in 2012.

Personal: Born June 13, 1995…Psychology major with a Biology minor at Rutgers-Camden…Plans on attending UMDNJ to obtain a doctorate in Physical Therapy…Melanie is the daughter of Jim and Veronica Kaiser of Somerdale.
