One of the most versatile and valuable arms on the Rutgers-Camden pitching staff, Steven Bloyed has served as a relief ace and an outstanding starter during his three-year Scarlet Raptor career. After two years in the bullpen, Bloyed joined the starting rotation during his junior season, where he posted a 2.73 ERA in 52-2/3 innings, the third-highest workload on the staff. His 4-3 record would have been even better had the Raptors not allowed nine unearned runs over his 10 appearances and been blanked in his lone complete game, a 2-0 loss at Ramapo College (April 14).
Â
In three seasons at Rutgers-Camden, Bloyed has made 31 appearances (24 in relief), sporting an 8-6 record, a 3.23 ERA and 74 strikeouts in 94-2/3 innings. He has issued only 23 walks.
Â
Bloyed also is a Dean’s List student and a two-time member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.
