Biography
One of the program’s all-time leaders in several career categories, Megan Everett returns for her fourth season with the Rutgers-Camden lacrosse program. She has appeared in 45 games as a Scarlet Raptor (tied for sixth on the career list), with 43 starts (tied for seventh). She owns 104 ground balls (third) for a 2.31 per game average (fourth). Her 51 caused turnovers are second on the career list, one shy of the program record. She currently ranks third on the career list with 1.13 caused turnovers per game.
A stellar student, Everett has been a member of every Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll since it was first named, beginning with the Fall 2015 semester. She added a berth on the AD Honor Roll for the Spring 2016, Fall 2016, Spring 2017 and Fall 2017 semesters.
Lacrosse 2017: Started all 16 Scarlet Raptor games…Collected two assists…Led the team with a single-season program record of 51 ground balls…Notched 26 caused turnovers, tied for the third-highest single-season mark in program history…Took four shots on the season, one on goal…Had five caused turnovers against Ramapo College (April 22), tied for the third-highest single-game mark in team history and only one shy of the record…Added four caused turnovers on two other occasions, coming against Rosemont (March 2) and Penn State-Abington (March 26)…Notched her assists against Rowan (April 25) and Gwynedd Mercy (April 27)…Had three shots, one on goal, in the Gwynedd Mercy game…Notched six ground balls in four different games, coming against Delaware Valley (March 28), Penn State-Abington (March 26), Rowan (April 25) and Gwynedd Mercy (April 27)…Added five ground balls against Manhattanville (April 1)…Had two draw controls against Stockton (April 19) and in both the Rowan and Gwynedd Mercy games.
Lacrosse 2016: Started all 15 Rutgers-Camden games…Notched her first career point with one assist…Had 30 ground balls (third on the team), 17 caused turnovers (second on the Raptors) and nine draw controls…Compiled nine games of two or more ground balls, including six straight from March 7-24, with a career-tying high of five against Rosemont College (March 7)…Also had four ground balls against both Wilkes University (March 19) and Immaculata University (April 4)…Added a career-high five caused turnovers against Immaculata and had three caused turnovers in the previous game against Neumann University (March 31)…Had a pair of draw controls on two occasions, coming against Gwynedd Mercy University (March 10) and Wilkes University (March 19)…Notched her first point with an assist against Penn State-Abington (March 24), while adding two ground balls, two caused turnovers and one draw control.
Lacrosse 2015: Started 12 games while playing in all 14 Raptor contests…Had 23 ground balls, eight caused turnovers and one draw control…Notched a career-high five ground balls against Delaware Valley University (March 10)…Made her collegiate debut Feb. 28 with a start at Immaculata University, taking one shot and collecting four ground balls…Had her first caused turnover and added another ground ball in her next game at Elizabethtown College (March 8)…Set a career high with five ground balls in her third collegiate game at Delaware Valley College (March 10)….Overall, collected multiple ground balls in six games and had eight games with one caused turnover…Notched her first career draw control against Lycoming College (March 14).
High School: Earned one varsity lacrosse letter for Coach Sarah Frazier and one varsity soccer letter for Coach Andrew Clapperton at Cherokee High School…Captured a Coaches Choice Award…Captained the lacrosse team during her senior year.
Personal: Born April 10, 1996…Enjoys Netflix, puppies, reading and going to the beach…Double major in Health Sciences and Psychology at Rutgers-Camden…Plans to apply to the accelerated nursing program…Megan is the daughter of Warren and Fran Everett of Marlton.
