Biography

A transfer from Goldey-Beacom College, Aaron Williams had a fine all-around junior year during his first two semesters at Rutgers University-Camden. In addition to playing on the men’s soccer team, Williams was named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll during both of his semesters at Rutgers-Camden (Fall 2016 and Spring 2017).
 
An Australian native, Williams is a Finance major and an Honors College member.
 
Soccer 2016: Appeared in 13 games during his first season at Rutgers-Camden…Made one start, which came in the opening round of the ECAC Tournament as the Scarlet Raptors defeated Hunter College, 3-1, on Nov. 12…Took one shot, coming in a 5-1 victory over New Jersey City University (Oct. 8)…Made his Rutgers-Camden debut in the season-opening 3-3 tie against St. Mary’s (Sept. 2)…Played his high of 73 minutes in a 1-0 double-overtime win against Cabrini University (Sept. 14).
 
Pre-Rutgers: Played in seven games as both a freshman and a sophomore at Goldey-Beacom College…Made his collegiate debut against Chowan on Sept. 6, 2014…Notched an assist against Chestnut Hill College on October 22, 2014 on Goldey-Beacom’s lone goal in a 2-1 loss…Also played his season high of 44 minutes in the Chestnut Hill game…As a sophomore, started two of his seven games, with his first collegiate start coming in a 3-0 win over East Stroudsburg (Sept. 29, 2015), when he played the full 90 minutes...Goldey-Beacom qualified for the CACC tournament during his sophomore season.
 
High School: Graduated from Cedars Christian College in Wollongong, Australia, in 2013…Letters in soccer, cross country, track and field and indoor soccer…Was a New South Wales indoor soccer team and Australian School indoor soccer team representative.
 
Club Team:  Kemlbawarra Fury.
 
Personal: Born February 13, 1995…Nicknamed “Aussie”…Hobbies and interests include traveling, coaching and training hard on the pitch or in the gym… International Student Ambassador for Rutgers…Coached New South Wales State Soccer Team in Australia at National Championships during winter break…. During free time enjoys learning about financial markets, emotional intelligence as well as social media marketing and sales strategies…Also enjoys engaging in some banter with his teammates…Honors College student and Finance major at Rutgers-Camden who plans to move to New York and make a few millions, coach a college team and do an MBA at an Ivy League school…As part of an Honors College service project in May, 2017, worked with the New Jersey Tree Foundation to plant trees at Camden’s new Cooper’s Poynt Waterfront Park…Aaron is the son of Derwyn and Lynne Williams of Figtree, New South Wales, Australia.
