Joe Auleta keeps raising his game, and the talented senior continues lifting the Rutgers-Camden men’s soccer program in the process. Auleta played both in the midfield and the back during the 2013 season as the Scarlet Raptors posted the finest campaign in program history, went 23-1-2 and reached the NCAA Division III championship game. He started all 26 games to set a program single-season record (shared by four other teammates last season) and earned numerous athletic and academic honors.
Entering his senior season, Auleta has played in all 72 games during his Rutgers-Camden career, starting all but his very first collegiate contest. He is within 21 games played of tying the program’s career record, set last season by Mitch Grotti, and ranks ninth on the all-time Rutgers-Camden list for assists (17), 11 shy of the record. Auleta has collected nine goals (four game winners) and 35 points in his career, while leading Rutgers-Camden to a remarkable three-year record of 59-6-7 and three straight New Jersey Athletic Conference championships.
