Biography

The top three-point shooter on the Scarlet Raptors last season, Riccardi also was the top student-athlete. In addition to leading the team in treys (44) and three-point shooting percentage (.355), Riccardi earned New Jersey Athletic Conference Academic First Team honors and was a member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll during both the Fall 2016 and Spring 2017 semesters.
 
Riccardi also has been a member of the Rutgers-Camden Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for both the 2016-17 and the 2017-18 scholastic years.
 
After playing his first collegiate season at NJAC rival Rowan University in 2014-15, Riccardi transferred to Rutgers-Camden, where he will enter his third and final season with the Raptors this year. He has played in 40 games as a Scarlet Raptor, starting 21 and averaging 6.4 points and 2.1 rebounds. He has shot 58-for-189 (.307) from three-point range over his Rutgers-Camden career, while adding 30 assists, 23 steals and two blocked shots. He also is an 80 percent (32-for-40) shooter from the foul line in his Raptor career.

Riccardi will serve as one of the Scarlet Raptors' co-captains this season.
 
Basketball 2016-17: Played in 24 games, starting 15…Finished sixth on the team in scoring (7.9 ppg) and averaged 2.0 rebounds per game…Collected 18 assists, 20 steals and one blocked shot…Shot 60-for-173 (.347) from the floor…Led the team with 44 three-pointers, shooting 44-for-124 (.355) from beyond the arc…Shot 25-for-32 from the foul line for the top free throw percentage (.781) on the Scarlet Raptors…Broke his old career scoring high with 16 points against Stockton University (Dec. 7) and later in the season raised his high to 17 points against William Paterson University (Jan. 14), aided by 5-for-10 shooting from three-point range…Had five games with four or more three-pointers, capped by a 4-for-4 performance from long range against Montclair State University (Feb. 15), in the Raptors’ final game of the season…Was perfect from the foul line in eight games, including a 4-for-4 performance against Rosemont College (Nov. 18) in the Scarlet Raptors’ season opener…Scored in double figures in 11 games, including his final five of the season, averaging 13.4 points over that span…Notched career highs of seven rebounds and four steals, while adding three assists and 14 points against Ramapo College (Feb. 8)…Had a career high of four assists in his next game against William Paterson University (Feb. 11), while adding three steals and 13 points.
 
Basketball 2015-16: Started six of his 16 games after joining the team during the spring semester…Averaged 4.1 points and 2.2 rebounds…Collected 12 assists and three steals, while blocking one shot…Shot 14-for-65 from three-point range (.215) and 22-for-83 (.265) overall from the floor…Hit seven of his eight foul shots (.875)…Made his Rutgers-Camden debut at Neumann University (Dec. 30), collecting two points and one rebound in 12 minutes of playing time…Scored nine points and added one rebound and one assist at Rutgers-Newark (Jan. 6) in his second game for the Scarlet Raptors…Collected a career-high 15 points in his next outing against Montclair State University (Jan. 9), shooting 5-for-11 from the floor (5-for-10 from three-point range) and adding one rebound…Made his first Rutgers-Camden start at New Jersey City University (Jan. 13), notching one assist and two rebounds…Set his career high with two assists – the first of three straight two-assist games – while adding four rebounds and six points against Ramapo College (Jan. 16)…In his next two-assist game, added three points and career highs of five rebounds and two steals against The College of New Jersey (Jan. 20)…Notched seven points and one rebound while tying his high of two assists at Lehman College (Jan. 25)…Tied his career high of five rebounds, blocked his first career shot and added nine points at Rowan University (Jan. 27)…Collected his fourth two-assist game at Montclair State (Feb. 6), while adding three points and one rebound…Closed the season with three rebounds, two points and one assist against New Jersey City University (Feb. 17).
 
Pre-Rutgers: Played the 2014-15 season at Rowan University, appearing in 11 games and averaging 0.7 points and 0.3 rebounds…Collected one assist and one steal…Collected his career high of three points at Princeton University (Jan. 25)…Had his high of three rebounds against Mount Saint Mary (Dec. 13)…Had his one assist at Ramapo College (Nov. 22) and his lone steal at Valley Forge Christian (Jan. 3).
