A transfer from Middlesex County College, Peter Han pitched saw six relief appearances with the Rutgers-Camden baseball team in 2017. He returns for his second season with the Scarlet Raptors and his final year of collegiate eligibility.
Han was named to the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the Fall 2017 semester.
Baseball 2017: Pitched in six games, all in relief…Went 0-1 with a 12.91 ERA in 7-2/3 innings…Had eight walks, two strikeouts and one hit batsman…Compiled a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with one putout and five assists in six chances…After a pair of tough outings to start his Raptor career, posted a 4.90 ERA in his final 3-2/3 innings, with three scoreless outings out of his last four appearances…Made his Raptor debut in an 8-6 loss against Methodist College (Feb. 26), taking the loss after working 2-2/3 innings and allowing five hits, four walks and four earned runs…Allowed four hits, two walks and five earned runs in 1-1/3 innings against Oswego State (March 13)…Hurled 2-1/3 scoreless innings, allowing three hits and striking out one, in the Raptors’ 14-5 win over Suffolk University (March 17)…Had a scoreless two-thirds of an inning, walking one, in the nightcap of an April 29 doubleheader against New Jersey City University, when he also added an assist…Notched his high of four assists in the Methodist game and collected his lone putout against Oswego.
Pre-Rutgers: Pitched at Middlesex County College in 2015 and 2016…During the 2015 season, posted a 1-2 record and a 2.78 ERA in 32.1 innings over nine games…Struck out 27, allowed 29 hits and 14 walks…During the 2016 season, worked in seven games, pitching 38 innings…Went 2-4 with an 8.05 ERA…Struck out 30, walked 34 and allowed 42 hits…Earned Academic All-Conference Region XIX honors.
High School: Captured three varsity letters in both baseball and football at Millburn High School…Played baseball for Coach Frank Dasti.
