Biography

Tim Holder started 33 games as a freshman shortstop for the Scarlet Raptors during the 2014 season, helping Rutgers-Camden earn the first NCAA tournament berth in program history. He returns for his second year with the Raptors in 2015.
 
Baseball 2014: Appeared in 38 games, starting 33 at shortstop…His .327 with a .355 slugging percentage and a .429 on-base percentage…Had 14 RBIs and scored 21 runs…Collected three doubles, 17 walks and four HBP…eight stolen bases in 10 attempts…Three sacrifices and two sacrifice flies…Second on the team with 83 assists…Added 44 putouts…Helped to turn 13 double plays, the second-highest total on the team…Had 10 multiple-hit games, tied for fifth on the team…Went 4-for-5 with one run and two RBIs, adding a stolen base, against Alfred State (March 19)…Added a 4-for-5 performance with one run and two RBIs against Rowan University (April 10)…Went 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles and one RBI against Amrst College in the opener of a March 16 doubleheader…Had his season high of six assists against York College (April 13)…Collected multiple-RBI games on three occasions, including his high of three RBIs against Montclair State in the nightcap of an April 5 twinbill…Went 2-for-3 in both games of the MSU doubleheader…Had a pair of five-game hitting streaks, going 10-for-15 (.667) March 16-19 and 10-for-17 (.588) April 5-10…Went 2-for-5 with one run and one walk in the Raptors’ first-ever NCAA tournament win over Castleton State (May 15).
 
High School: Captured six varsity letters at Gloucester Catholic High School, earning three apiece in baseball and basketball…His baseball coach was current Rutgers-Camden Head Coach Dennis Barth…Played basketball for Coach Todd Powers…Helped the Rams capture four state baseball championships.
 
Personal: Born January 4, 1994…Criminal Justice major at Rutgers-Camden…Tim is the son of Frank and Kathy Holder of Sewell.
