Biography

Billy Eisler has started 95 of his 101 career games at Rutgers-Camden, where he is a member of the 100-hit club (106) and owns a .294 batting average. Eisler has scored 83 runs and driven home 43. He owns 19 doubles, three triples and one home run and has stolen 21 bases in 28 attempts. Eisler’s .412 career on-base percentage is aided by 44 walks and 30 HBP, the third-highest total number for a hit batsman in program history.
 
A Criminal Justice major, Eisler also has earned numerous academic awards at Rutgers-Camden.

Baseball 2021: Started all 22 of his games and led all Rutgers-Camden regulars in hitting with a .346 average…Started 19 games in center field and three in right field…Tied for the team lead with 19 runs and led the club with six doubles…Second on the team with two triples…Added 10 RBIs…Had a .474 slugging percentage and a .490 on-base percentage…Walked 11 times, struck out 11 times and led the team reaching base as a hit batsman (12)…Stole five bases in six attempts…Made only one error in 58 chances (55 putouts, two assists, .983 fielding percentage)…Added one double play…Had a five-hit game against Kean (March 27, Game One), going 5-for-6 with one double, two runs and one RBI…Named Rutgers-Camden’s Raptor of the Week on March 29…Notched his 100th career hit against Rowan (April 16), stroking a sixth-inning double…Closed the season by reaching base safely in 11 straight games, tied for the team’s third-longest streak during the season…Had five multiple-hit games, including a contest with five hits, one of only two Scarlet Raptors to notch a five-hit game during the season…Had a pair of multiple-RBI games, including a four-RBI game and a contest with two RBIs…Hit safely in six straight games from March 21-April 3 (15-for-26, .577, with three doubles, two triples, eight runs and two RBIs)…That streak included his five-hit game and a 4-for-5 contest with a double, a triple and two runs in the opener of a doubleheader against William Paterson (April 3)…Went 3-for-5 with two doubles, one run and four RBIs at Rowan (April 16), while adding his season high of six putouts…Had three other games with five putouts apiece.
 
Baseball 2020: Started all six games in center field for the Scarlet Raptors during the season, which was shortened due to the COVID-19 pandemic…Hit .304 with a .435 slugging percentage and a .407 on-base percentage…Tied for the team lead with 10 runs scored, three doubles and three walks…Added five RBIs, one sacrifice and went 2-for-3 on stolen base attempts…Had eight putouts in as many chances for a 1.000 fielding percentage…Notched his best game of the season in the nightcap of the season-opening doubleheader at Immaculata (Feb. 23), going 3-for-5 with two doubles, four runs and four RBIs…His RBI double in the fifth inning of that game plated the first run of an eventual 12-run frame, which set a program record, and he later added a three-run double in the inning…Went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and three runs in the second game of a doubleheader against Oneonta (March 1)…Collected his season high of three putouts against Ursinus (March 2) while also making his collegiate pitching debut, working one inning of relief (one hit, one earned run) in the contest.
 
Baseball 2019: Played in 32 games, starting 26 in the outfield (21 in right field, one in center and four in left)…Hit .255 with 19 runs and 13 RBIs…Hit one home run, drew 11 walks and went 2-for-5 on stolen base attempts…Had 52 putouts, four assists and two errors for a .966 fielding percentage…Participated in two double plays…Had five multi-hit games during the season, including a 4-for-4 game with two runs and one RBI against Stockton (April 23), when he hit his first career home run and missed a cycle by only a triple…Had a 3-for-5 game with two runs scored against Moravian (March 28)…Went 2-for-2 with three runs scored against Montclair State (April 13, Game 2)…Stole home on the back end of a sixth-inning double steal against Lynchburg (March 15, Game 2)…Had six putouts in games against William Paterson (March 30, Game 2) and The College of New Jersey (April 25)…Made five putouts and added one assist against both Stockton (April 18) and The College of New Jersey (April 29).
 
Baseball 2018: Started all 41 of his games, including 39 in center field and two in left field…Hit .291 with a .335 slugging percentage and a .414 on-base percentage…Scored 35 runs and drove home 15…Five doubles and one triple…Led team with 14 HBP and had 19 walks, the third-highest total on the team…His 12 stolen bases (in 14 attempts) were the second-highest total on the Scarlet Raptors…Added three sacrifices…Defensively, had 86 putouts, two assists and one double play from the outfield, while making two errors for a .978 fielding percentage…Had a season-high seven-game hitting streak (`0-for-28 (357) from April 22-May 1, including a 4-for-6 game with three runs and one RBI against Kean University (April 26)…That seven-game hitting streak came one game after a six-game streak (9-for-27, .333, April 15-21) was snapped in the second game of an April 21 doubleheader…Went 7-for-14 (.500) in three games from March 17-28, including a 3-for-4 day with one double, two walks and one RBI against Susquehanna (March 28)…Reached base twice as a hit batsman on three occasions, coming against Beloit (March 12), Neumann (April 18) and York (May 2)…Had 13 multiple-hit games…Notched four multiple-RBI games, including three apiece against FDU-Florham (March 27) and St. Joseph’s (May 11, Game 2)…Starting with the second game of a March 31 doubleheader, reached base safely (hit, walk, HBP or combination of those stats) in 29 straight games through the end of the season, the longest streak on the Scarlet Raptors in 2018…Scored multiple runs in eight games, with a high of three against Kean (April 26).
