Biography

After a stellar rookie season in 2019, Colin Carr appeared in only one game in 2020, when the Raptors’ season was cut to six games by the COVID-19 pandemic. He returned in 2021 to appear in five games, starting four.
 
In his brief career, Carr has worked 55.2 innings over 15 games, compiling a 4-3 record and a 6.20 ERA. He has 35 strikeouts and 17 walks over that span.
 
Academics: Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2018 Fall, 2020 Fall and 2021 Spring semesters.
 
Baseball 2021: Appeared in five games, making four starts…Worked 20.1 innings, allowing 33 hits and 29 runs, 25 of them earned…Posted a 1-2 record and an 11.07 ERA…Walked 11 and struck out 13…Posted a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with five assists in five chances…Took the loss in his first appearance, starting and working four innings at William Paterson (March 21), allowing eight hits, six runs (four earned) and one walk, while striking out two…Worked a season high of 6.1 innings at Kean (March 27, Game One), allowing five hits, five walks and four earned runs while fanning three without getting a decision in the Raptors’ eventual 6-4 win…Earned the victory in a 9-5 win at Rutgers-Newark (April 8, Game One), striking out three in 5.1 innings while allowing six hits, five earned runs and four walks…Took a loss at Rowan (April 15), allowing 11 hits and 10 runs (eight earned) in four innings, while striking out four.
 
Baseball 2020: Appeared in one game in relief during the shortened season, posting a 9.82 ERA and a 0-1 record over 3-2/3 innings…Pitched in the season opener against Immaculata (Feb. 23), allowing eight hits and eight runs (four earned)…Didn’t walk a batter and struck out four.
 
Baseball 2019: Finished third on the team with a 2.43 ERA…Fourth on the Raptors in innings pitched (29-2/3)…Posted a 3-0 record with six walks and 18 strikeouts…Made his collegiate debut with one scoreless inning of relief work at Lynchburg (March 15, Game 1), allowing two hits and striking out two…Notched scoreless relief outings against Ripon (March 18, one-third of an inning) and Benedictine (March 21, one inning, three strikeouts)…Had a superb five-inning relief outing against Hamilton (March 23), allowing only three hits, one walk and one unearned run, while striking out two…Made his first start and earned his first win in a pre-determined pitching split during a 13-2 victory at Moravian College (March 28, 4-1/3 innings, four hits, three strikeouts and two earned runs)…Beat Rutgers-Newark in relief (April 4), working four innings and allowing three hits and one earned run, while striking out one…Started and beat Montclair State (April 13, Game 2), working seven innings and allowing 10 hits and three earned runs, while striking out two…Allowed seven hits and four runs (two earned), while walking two and fanning two in a three-inning start against Stockton (April 23), receiving no decision…Had a strong start and left after four innings of a 1-1 game against The College of New Jersey (April 29) before the Lions blew open the game for a 17-5 win…In Carr’s four innings, allowed three hits, three walks and one unearned run, while striking out three.
 
High School: Three-year baseball letterman at Triton Regional High School…First Team All-Conference as a junior…Named team’s Most Valuable Player as a junior.
