Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Kylar Coughlin made a major contribution to the Rutgers-Camden women’s basketball season after her transfer from Rowan College of South Jersey. She finished third on the team in both scoring (8.8 ppg) and rebounding (6.4 rpg) in her first season with the Scarlet Raptors.
 

Academics: New Jersey Athletic Conference Academic Honorable Mention for the 2020-21 scholastic year…Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and Dean’s List student for the 2020 Fall and 2021 Spring semesters…One of only 27 athletes on the 125-member 2021 Spring AD Honor Roll to post a perfect 4.0 GPA.
 
Basketball 2020-21: Started all five of her games during Rutgers-Camden’s six-game pandemic-shortened season…Averaged 8.8 points and 6.4 rebounds to finish third on the team in both categories…Led the team with 13 assists…Added four steals…Made her Rutgers-Camden debut against Rutgers-Newark (Feb. 5), scoring four points, dishing out two assists and notching her season high of 11 rebounds…The next day, at Rutgers-Newark, collected a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds, while adding three assists and two steals…Scored his season-high of 12 points at The College of New Jersey (Feb. 12)…Added 11 points and a season-high four assists the next day against The College of New Jersey…Collected seven points and six rebounds at Stockton (Feb. 19).

 
Pre-Rutgers: Played two seasons for Rowan College of South Jersey in Sewell…Started all 51 of her career games, averaging 8.4 points and shooting 155-for-392 (.395) from the floor, including 38-for-142 (.268) from three-point range…An outstanding shooter from the foul line, she hit 82 of her 111 foul shots (.739) and finished her two seasons with the Roadrunners scoring 430 points…She added 337 rebounds (6.6 rpg), 102 assists, 92 steals and 29 blocked shots…As a freshman during the 2018-19 campaign, notched 216 points (9.0 ppg), 142 rebounds (5.9 rpg), 55 assists, 44 steals and 11 blocks while starting all 24 of her games…Started all 27 of her games as a sophomore during the 2019-20 campaign, collecting 214 points (7.9), 195 rebounds (7.2 rpg ), 47 assists, 48 steals and 18 blocks…Scored in double figures nine times as a sophomore, including a high of 18 points against Onondaga Community College (Nov. 3), while adding 13 rebounds for a double-double…Also had 13 rebounds against Atlantic Cape Community College (Jan. 9),
 
High School: Earned 11 varsity letters as a multi-sport star at Gloucester City High School, including four apiece in basketball and softball and three in field hockey…Played basketball for Coach George Bakey…Captured All-Conference First Team honors in all three sports as a senior…Earned All-Conference Second Team recognition in field hockey as a junior and All-Conference Second Team during her sophomore year in basketball…Class Valedictorian…President of the National Honor Society…Graduated Gloucester City High School in 2018.
