Stephen Brady appeared in 32 career games – 27 as a pitcher – at Rutgers-Camden, posting a 3-5 record, one save and a 6.97 ERA. He also saw action in the infield, outfield, as a pinch-runner and a pinch-hitter during his first season with the Scarlet Raptors.
A stellar student, Brady collected numerous academic honors at Rutgers-Camden.

Baseball 2022: Made nine relief appearances, working 9.2 innings and posting a 0-3 record, despite a 2.79 ERA…Walked 11 and struck out five…Only three of the 10 runs scored against him were earned…Didn’t allow an earned run in six of his nine appearances, and only allowed one earned run in each of the other three…His tough luck started in his opening appearance when he allowed three hits and three unearned runs in one inning against FDU-Florham (March 5, Game One)…Allowed one run and three walks while taking the loss against Ripon College (March 18)…Hurled one shutout inning, allowing one hit and striking out two against Ursinus (March 31)…Allowed one unearned run, one hit and two walks in one-third of an inning against Keystone (April 5)…Hurled two scoreless innings, allowing one hit and one walk, against Rutgers-Newark (April 11)…Took the loss against New Jersey City (April 16, Game Two), allowing one earned run, two hits and one walk in one-third of an inning…Hurled two-thirds of an inning, pitching scoreless ball and striking out one against William Paterson (April 23, Game One)…Allowed two unearned runs, two walks and one hit, while fanning one, in one inning against Cabrini (April 26)…Took the loss against Montclair State (April 30, Game Two), working 1.1 innings and allowing one hit, two walks and two runs (one earned), while striking out one.
Baseball 2021: Led the team with 11 appearances, all in relief…Hurled 20.2 innings, posting a 2-2 record, one save and a 6.53 ERA…Allowed 24 hits and 19 runs (15 earned), while walking 16 and striking out 15…Named New Jersey Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week (March 29)…Worked three scoreless innings, allowing one hit and three walks, while striking out four, to earn the 6-4 win against Kean University (March 27, Game One)…Collected a save during a 9-5 win at Rutgers-Newark (April 8, Game One), allowing two hits and two walks in 3.2 innings, while fanning two…Had three no-hit, shutout innings at Rowan during the Raptors’ 8-4 win on April 16, walking one and striking out one…Allowed two runs (only one earned) and one hit in three innings at Ramapo (May 1, Game Two), while walking two and striking out four…Overall, had six scoreless appearances in his 11 outings, while allowing only one earned run in two other games.
Baseball 2020: Saw action in four games as a relief pitcher in the season which ended after the Raptors’ March 9 game due to the COVID-19 season…Worked seven innings, posting a 2.57 ERA and earning his first collegiate decision, a win over Ursinus (March 2)…Finished with nine strikeouts and two walks while holding opponents to a .192 batting average…Made his season debut with a strong inning against Immaculata (Feb. 23, Game Two), striking out the side and allowing one hit, one walk and one unearned run during his one inning of work…Worked two innings against Oneonta (March 1, Game One), allowing two hits and one earned run, while striking out three…Won his first collegiate game in an 8-2 victory over Ursinus (March 2), pitching three innings of two-hit ball, allowing one earned run and striking out three for the third straight appearance…Closed his season with one scoreless inning against Neumann (March 9), walking one…Had one assist apiece in the Oneonta and Ursinus games for a 1.000 fielding percentage.
Baseball 2019: Played in eight games, including three as a relief pitcher…Also was used as a pinch-runner, pinch-hitter, second baseman, third baseman and center fielder…Went 0-for-1 (.000) with one putout, three assists and a 1.000 fielding percentage…On the mound, appeared in three games, covering four innings…Walked seven, struck out six, allowed 11 hits and 12 earned runs for a 27.00 ERA...Made his collegiate debut pitching 1-1/3 innings against Westminster (March 22), allowing three hits, two walks and three earned runs, while striking out two…Went 0-for-1 as a pinch-hitter against Rutgers-Newark (April 4) before playing center field…Notched his first collegiate assist while playing second base against William Paterson (March 30, Game 2)…Had a high of three total chances (one putout, two assists) while playing second base against New Jersey City (April 6, Game 2).
High School: Earned four varsity baseball letters at St. Joseph’s High School in Hammonton for Coach Tom Carney…All-Conference in 2017 and was 2018 Honorable Mention…Helped team win its Cape-Atlantic League division…Led team to the Diamond Classic in 2016 and 2017…Named a 2017 Scholar Athlete by the South Jersey Baseball Coaching Association…Also earned 2017 Scholar Athlete honors at St. Joseph’s-Hammonton…Graduated in 2018.
