Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Keith Jacobs has earned academic honors at both Rutgers-Camden and at his former school, Felician University. Since joining the Scarlet Raptors for the 2019 season, Jacobs has appeared in 11 games out of the bullpen, while fashioning a 2-0 record in 13-2/3 innings.

Baseball 2021: Appeared in six games, making two starts…Worked 12.2 innings, allowing 20 hits and 15 runs (14 earned)…Walked six and struck out seven…Posted a 9.95 ERA and a 1-1 record…Won his first game of the season, hurling five innings and allowing four hits, two walks and two earned runs against New Jersey City (April 10, Game Two), while striking out two…In his second start, allowed eight hits, one walk and five earned runs in two innings in a loss at Montclair State (April 17, Game Two), while striking out two…Hurled a scoreless, hitless two-thirds of an inning at William Paterson (May 7, Game One) during the New Jersey Athletic Conference playoffs.
 
Baseball 2020: Appeared in two games in relief during the abbreviated season, which ended after six games due to the COVID-19 pandemic…Went 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA in 3-1/3 innings…Allowed three hits and two walks, while striking out two…Both runs he allowed were unearned…Held opponents to a .250 batting average…Hurled one scoreless inning in the second game of a doubleheader against Immaculata (Feb. 23), allowing one hit and two walks…In the nightcap of a doubleheader against Oneonta (March 1), worked 2-1/3 innings, allowing two hits and two unearned runs, while striking out two…He picked up the win in that game, which Rutgers-Camden won, 9-4.
 
Baseball 2019: Appeared in nine games in relief, pitching 10-1/3 innings…Compiled a 1-0 record and a 10.45 ERA…Walked eight, hit one and struck out 10…Made his Rutgers-Camden debut with one scoreless, hitless inning against Anderson (March 19), walking one and striking out two…Allowed one hit and struck out one in two-thirds of a scoreless inning against Westminster (March 22, Game 1)…Worked 1-1/3 scoreless innings in the nightcap of the Westminster doubleheader, allowing one walk and picking up the victory in a 12-11 Raptor win…Allowed one hit and one earned run in two-thirds of an inning against Susquehanna (March 27)…Hurled two scoreless innings against New Jersey City (April 6, Game 1), allowing one hit and one walk, while striking out two and lowering his ERA to 1.59…Over his last four outings, covering 4-2/3 innings, allowed 12 hits and 12 runs, 11 of them earned.
 
Pre-Rutgers: Pitched at Felician University in 2017 and 2018, appearing in four games (one start) over 3-1/3 innings…Allowed one hit and six walks, while striking out one, posting a 0-0 record and an 8.10 ERA…Attended Kean University during the 2018 fall semester before transferring to Rutgers-Camden.
