Biography

Devyn Cobb earned All-New Jersey Athletic Conference honors on the volleyball court and in the classroom during her stellar four-year career at Rutgers-Camden. She finished her career ranking among the all-time program leaders with 151 blocks (sixth), 2.20 kills/set (eighth), a .218 hitting percentage (ninth), 401 kills (14th) and 1,013 total attacks (18th).
 
Cobb played in 79 matches and 240 sets during her Scarlet Raptor career, while adding 82 digs, 15 aces and 12 assists.
 
Academics: New Jersey Athletic Conference Academic Honorable Mention for the 2019-20, 2020-21 and 2021-22 scholastic years…Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2018 Fall, 2019 Spring, 2019 Fall, 2020 Spring, 2020 Fall, 2021 Spring and 2021 Fall semesters…Dean’s List student…Was one of 47 athletes on the 171-member 2020 Spring AD Honor Roll to earn a 4.0 GPA… Was one of 27 athletes on the 125-member 2021 Spring AD Honor Roll to earn a 4.0 GPA.
 
Volleyball 2021: Notched career highs for matches (31), sets (105) and blocks (73, including 15 solo and 58 assisted)…Her 73 blocks tied for the 11th-highest single-season total in program history…Finished third on the team in blocks, fourth in kills (128), fourth in hitting percentage (.186) and fifth in total attacks (360)…Added 22 digs and four assists…Collected her season high of 12 kills, while hitting .360, against King’s College (Sept. 11)…Had 10 kills and hit .318 against Brooklyn (Oct. 23)…Collected six blocks against both Penn State-Harrisburg (Sept. 19, all assisted blocks) and Wilkes (Oct. 30, two solo, four assisted)…Had her high of three digs on three occasions, coming against Ramapo (Sept. 28) and during the Oct. 9 tri-match against both Elizabethtown and Messiah.
 
Volleyball 2020: New Jersey Athletic Conference Second Team…Rutgers-Camden Raptor of the Week (March 15)…Played in six matches and 20 sets during the short seven-match, 23-set season…Led the team with a .375 hitting percentage and 14 blocks (two solo, 12 assisted)…Notched 40 kills (fourth on the team) and tied for third on the Raptors with 2.00 kills per set…Added two digs…Hit .250 or better in all six of her matches, including an incredible .889 (eight kills, no errors in nine attempts) against New Jersey City (March 9)…Hit .333 or better in three matches, including .385 against Stockton on March 4 (six kills, one error in 13 total attacks)…Opened the season March 2 at William Paterson by hitting .353 (eight kills, two errors in 17 attacks)…Had seven assisted blocks against Montclair State (March 11), while adding six kills.
 
Volleyball 2019: Played in 22 matches before her season ended prematurely with an injury…Played 70 sets…Led the team with 40 blocks and a 0.57 block/set average…Had a team-high .233 hitting percentage…Finished fourth on the team with 172 kills and second in kills/set (2.46)…Notched 48 digs, 14 service aces and eight assists…Named to the All-Tournament Team at the season-opening DeSales Invitational (Aug. 30-31)…Collected seven matches with double-digit kills, including 13 against Clarks Summit (Sept. 21) and 12 against both Keystone (Aug. 31) and Sarah Lawrence (Oct. 12)…Had her highs of three service aces against both Rosemont (Sept. 19) and Penn State-Brandywine (Oct. 10)…Her highs in digs came during back-to-back matches, with six against Penn State-Abington (Sept. 11) and seven against Immaculata (Sept. 14)…Had a season high of five blocks (one solo, four assisted) against Wilkes (Sept. 21).
 
Volleyball 2018: Appeared in 20 matches, starting 13…Played in 45 sets…Finished eighth on the team in kills (61) and seventh in kills per set (1.36)…Had a .171 hitting percentage…Placed third on the team with 24 total blocks (three solo, 21 assists) and had a team-high 0.53 blocks per set…Added 10 digs and one service ace…Started and played one set at DeSales University (Aug. 31) in her collegiate debut, collecting two block assists…In the second match that day, facing Baruch College, had her first collegiate kill…Started and played all five sets against Washington College (Sept. 1), notching nine kills, one dig and two assisted blocks…Had a season-high 10 kills and hit .350 against Brooklyn College (Sept. 22), while Notching two solo blocks and two assisted blocks…Had seven kills, a .429 hitting percentage, two digs and one block assist against Penn State-Abington (Sept. 29)…In her second match on Sept. 29, playing Albright, notched eight kills and three block assists, while hitting .375…Notched her first collegiate service ace against Medgar Evers College (Oct. 2), while adding one kill in her lone chance for a 1.000 hitting percentage.
 
High School: Two-year varsity volleyball letterwinner for Coach Brian Bassler at William Tennent High School…Led club in blocks…Sam Fox Award recipient…Also earned Offensive Player of the Year honors during her time with the JV team…Graduated in 2018.
