Biography
Savannah Hayes completed her stellar collegiate career in 2021, playing in 28 matches while continuing her outstanding academic record. Among her numerous honors, she capped her senior season earning New Jersey Athletic Conference Academic First Team recognition.

In 188 career sets over 70 matches, Hayes compiled 430 digs, 58 service aces, 42 assists and 30 kills with the Scarlet Raptors.

Academics: New Jersey Athletic Conference Academic First Team for the 2021-22 scholastic year…NJAC Academic Honorable Mention for the 2019-20 scholastic year…Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and Dean’s List student for the 2018 Fall, 2019 Spring, 2019 Fall and 2020 Spring, 2021 Fall and 2022 Spring semesters…One of only 16 athletes on the 148-member 2019 Fall AD Honor Roll to earn a perfect 4.0 GPA…Was one of 47 athletes on the 171-member 2020 Spring AD Honor Roll to earn a 4.0 GPA…One of only 26 athletes on the 142-member 2021 Fall AD Honor Roll to earn a perfect 4.0 GPA…One of only 26 athletes on the 119-member 2022 Spring AD Honor Roll to earn a 4.0 GPA.

Volleyball 2021: Played in 28 of the Scarlet Raptors’ 31 matches…Appeared in 67 sets…Collected 96 digs (seventh on the team), eight aces, eight assists, five kills and one assisted block…Had 18 digs against Elizabethtown (Oct. 9), when she also added her high of four aces and tacked on one kill and one assist…Notched nine kills against Brooklyn (Oct. 23) and six against Wilkes (Oct. 30)…Notched two aces and three digs against Drew (Sept. 23)…Had two assists, four digs and one block assist against Hunter (Nov. 12).

Volleyball 2020: Didn’t play during the pandemic-shortened season, which was held in March, 2021.

Volleyball 2019: Played in all 28 matches…Appeared in 89 sets, the fourth-highest total on the team…Finished second on the team in service aces (37) and in service aces/set (0.42)…Finished second on the team in digs (235) and in digs/set (2.64)…Added 24 kills, 21 assists and one assisted block…Notched nine service aces against Brooklyn (Oct. 19), tied for the fourth-highest total in a five-set match in program history…Had three matches with four aces apiece, coming against Clarks Summit (Sept. 21), John Jay (Oct. 2) and Ramapo (Oct. 22)…Added a season-high four kills in the John Jay match and a season-high three assists against Clarks Summit…Recorded double-digit digs in 11 matches, including a high of 16 against both Penn State-Abington (Sept. 11) and Widener (Sept. 14)…Had 15 digs against Rutgers-Newark (Sept. 17)….Collected double-digit digs in four straight matches from Oct. 17-22, totaling 48 over that span.

Volleyball 2018: Appeared in 14 matches, playing in 32 sets…Collected 99 digs (3.09 per set)…Finished seventh on the team in total digs and third in digs per set…Added 13 assists, 13 service aces and one kill…Made her collegiate debut Aug. 31 at DeSales University, playing three sets and collecting seven digs and one service ace…Had her lone kill in the second match on Aug. 31 while playing three sets against Baruch College, adding 12 digs and two service aces…For the season, collected double-digit digs in four matches, with a high of 22 against Rutgers-Newark (Sept. 11), while adding two assists…Had season highs of three assists on Sept. 1 against both Washington College and Colby-Sawyer, adding 10 and nine digs, respectively…Also had a 10-dig match against Wilkes (Oct. 27).

High School: Four-year volleyball letterwinner at Wickenburg High School, graduating in 2018…As a junior, earned All-AIA Second Team honors as a setter…As a senior, captured AIA Honorable Mention as an outside hitter and added Defensive Player of the Year recognition…Principal’s List student during sophomore, junior and senior years.
