Biography
Kaliyah Moss recorded the finest season in Rutgers-Camden volleyball history in her collegiate debut campaign during the 2021 season, becoming the first Scarlet Raptor to earn All-American status when she captured AVCA All-America Honorable Mention. After missing the 2022 season, she returned with another banner year in 2023.
The program’s all-time leader in hitting percentage (.324), Moss also ranks third on the career charts for kills per set (2.72), eighth in blocks (146), 13th in kills (528) and 17th in attacks (1,245). An All-New Jersey Athletic Conference player during both of her seasons at Rutgers-Camden, Moss also has collected several academic honors.

Volleyball 2023: AVCA All-Region IV Honorable Mention…New Jersey Athletic Conference Second Team…NJAC Player of the Week Oct. 10…Rutgers-Camden Raptor of the Week Oct. 30 and Nov. 6…Played in 93 sets over 27 matches…Led the team with 237 kills, a 2.55 kills per set average and a .356 hitting percentage…Second on the team with 58 blocks (a team-leading 20 solo blocks and also 38 assisted blocks)…Fourth on the Raptors with 27 aces…Added 90 digs and nine assists…Against New Jersey City (Oct. 3), had 12 kills and only one error in 19 total attacks for one of the top hitting performances (.579) in program history, tying Jamie Mulligan (Oct. 9, 2019) for the 13th-highest hitting percentage among all individuals with 12 or more kills in a single match…Moss already had been on that list with the 11th-highest mark of .583, accomplished in 2021…In her first match of the season, following a year-long layoff, collected a huge double-double of 21 digs and 17 kills against Dickinson (Sept. 1), while adding her season high of five aces…That match marked the first of 12 double-digit matches in kills during the season…Also was the first of three straight double-digit matches in digs to open the season…Had a high of five blocks (two solo, three assisted) against William Paterson (Sept. 26)…Hit over .400 in 16 of her matches, including eight when she collected 10 or more kills…Had a season high of 18 kills and hit .417 against Gwynedd Mercy (Oct. 25).
Volleyball 2021: Captured AVCA All-America Honorable Mention…Named AVCA All-Region IV…New Jersey Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year…NJAC First Team…Three-time NJAC Rookie of the Week (Sept. 13, Oct. 18 and Oct. 25)…Also named Rutgers-Camden Raptor of the Week on Sept. 13, Sept. 25 and Nov. 22…Collected 10 double-doubles with kills and digs…Ranked among the program’s single-season leaders with 291 kills (fourth), 88 blocks (seventh), a .300 hitting percentage (seventh) and 719 total attacks (11th)…Played in 101 sets over 29 matches…Added 246 digs, 20 assists and 48 service aces…Had a .583 hitting percentage against Ramapo on Sept. 28 (14 kills, no errors in 24 attacks) for the 10th-best single-match total in program history…Collected double digits in kills in 16 matches, with a high of 19 in a four-set match against Washington College (Sept. 4), hitting .457 and adding her season high of 17 digs for her first career double-double…Also had 17 kills against Merchant Marine (Oct. 2), while hitting .469, in a five-set match…Collected 12 kills, hit .526 and had her season high of five service aces against Immaculata (Sept. 10)…Had her high of seven blocks (three solo, four assisted), while adding 11 aces against New Jersey City (Oct. 5)….Collected three assists on three occasions: including the Washington College match, against Penn State-Abington (Sept. 7) when she added a double-double of 10 kills and 16 digs, and against Penn State-Harrisburg (Sept. 19)…Hit .500 or higher on four occasions and .400 or better in 11 matches.
