Tavian Alford joined the Scarlet Raptors during the 2021-22 basketball season after playing two seasons at Mercer County Community College.
 
Basketball 2021-22: Played in nine games, starting two…Averaged 4.7 points and 2.2 rebounds…Collected five assists and four steals…Shot 14-for-33 (.424) from the floor, including 4-for-15 (.267) from three-point range…Hit 10 of his 12 foul shots (.833)…Scored 11 points and added six rebounds against Cabrini (Nov. 11) in his first game at Rutgers-Camden…Had another six-rebound game against Baruch (Nov.30), while adding his Raptor career high of 13 points…Shot 4-for-4 from the foul line in the Baruch game.
 
Pre-Rutgers: Played two seasons at Mercer County Community College from 2018-20…As a freshman during the 2018-19 season, averaged 6.7 points and 1.8 rebounds in 13 games, while starting four…Compiled a .409 field goal percentage (27-for-66), a .276 percentage from three-point range (8-for-29) and a .833 mark from the foul line (25-for-30)…Scored 87 points, while adding 24 rebounds, seven assists, three steals and one block…During his sophomore year in 2019-20, started three of his 16 games, while averaging 7.3 points and 2.8 rebounds…Had a field goal percentage of 48.1 (37-for-77), a three-point field goal percentage of .324 (12-for-37) and a free throw percentage of .756 (31-for-41)…Notched 117 points, 44 rebounds, 29 assists, 15 steals and two blocks…In 29 career games at Mercer, average 7.0 points and 2.3 rebounds.
