Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Sebastian Vega has played in 28 games during his two seasons at Rutgers-Camden, making three starts and posting one relief appearance. He also added academic honors during the 2022-23 scholastic year.

Baseball 2023: Used mainly as a pinch runner, appeared in 15 games, starting one…Scored three runs…Went 1-for-1 on stolen base attempts…Went 0-for-3 (.000) at the plate…Had three putouts and one assist defensively, while making one error for an .800 fielding  percentage…Pitched two innings of relief, allowing only one unearned run for a 0.00 ERA…Had one strikeout and held opponents to a .143 batting average…Scored runs against Susquehanna (March 13), Kean (April 1, Game Two) and Cabrini (April 3)…Inserted as a pinch runner in the ninth inning against Keystone (April 4), he stole second base and scored the winning run on a single by Giacomo Antonicello for a 9-8 victory…Started his one game in left field against Arcadia (April 18), going 0-for-3 with a putout…Pitched his only game against Cairn (March 18), allowing one hit and one unearned run in two innings, while striking out one and collecting one assist.
 
Baseball 2022: Played in 13 games, starting one apiece at second base and in right field…Hit .091 and scored four runs…Walked twice and reached twice as a hit batsman to post a .333 on-base percentage…Had 11 putouts and two errors for an .846 fielding percentage…Made his debut against Ursinus (March 31) as a pinch-runner in the seventh inning…Went 0-for-1 and was hit by a pitch after entering the nightcap of a doubleheader against Kean (April 2) as a pinch-hitter (HBP) and staying in the game in right field…Scored his first collegiate run against Rutgers-Newark (April 8) as a pinch-runner in the 10th inning, bringing home what proved to be the winning run in an 8-7 Raptor win…Went 1-for-4 and added one sacrifice and four putouts in his first career start, playing second base against Neumann (April 12)…Went 0-for-2 with one walk as a starter in right field against William Paterson (April 23, Game Two).
