Jania Pitts has appeared in 62 games over her three years with the Rutgers-Camden basketball program, starting 55 and averaging 6.9 points and 4.4 rebounds. The Scarlet Raptors’ top three-point shooting threat, she ranks fifth on the program’s career list with 92 treys and sixth with 315 three-point attempts.
Pitts also has earned numerous honors in the classroom, where she is a three-time New Jersey Athletic Conference Academic Honorable Mention performer.

Basketball 2023-24: Played in 23 games, starting 22…Finished third on the team in scoring (8.7 ppg) and fourth in rebounding (4.9 rpg)…Led the team with 41 steals, placed second in blocks (8) and ranked fourth in assists (29)…Led the team in three-point field goals with 46, the 11th-highest single-season total in program history…Shot 46-for-175 (.263) from three-point range…Shot 58-for-227 overall from the floor (.256) and was 38-for-58 (.655) from the foul line…Scored in double figures on eight occasions, including a career-high 19 points against New Jersey City (Jan. 10), led by 5-for-8 shooting from three-point range…Scored 16 points against both Stockton (Nov. 29) and Swarthmore (Dec. 30)…Had her season high of 10 rebounds against William Paterson (Jan. 13), adding 12 points for her lone double-double of the season…Nearly had two more double-doubles on Dec. 2 against Montclair State, finishing with 12 points and nine rebounds, and in the team’s lone win on Jan. 27 against Rutgers-Newark, notching 11 points and nine boards…Made 11 straight foul shots from Jan. 6-13, going 3-for-3 against Ramapo (Jan. 6) and 4-for-4 against both New Jersey City (Jan. 10) and William Paterson (Jan. 13)…Collected four steals apiece in four games and had her season high of three assists on four occasions…Opened the season with a career-high two blocked shots against Drew (Nov. 8), while adding nine points, eight rebounds, one assist and one steal.
Basketball 2022-23: Started all 25 games for the Scarlet Raptors, finishing third on the team in scoring (5.7 ppg) and fourth in rebounding (4.3 rpg)…Led the team with 42 steals and finished third on the Raptors with 37 assists…Added three blocked shots…Led the Raptors in three-point field goals, shooting 33-for-107 (.308)…Collected a double-double of 10 points and a career-high 12 rebounds against New Jersey City (Feb. 15), helping her earn honors as the Rutgers-Camden Raptor of the Week on Feb. 20…Also had double-digit rebounds with 10 against Ramapo (Feb. 4)…Notched 14 points on two occasions, coming against Rutgers-Newark (Jan. 28) and William Paterson (Feb. 11), shooting four treys in both games…Grabbed a career-high five steals against both Stockton (Jan. 25) and Kean (Feb. 8)…Shot 4-for-4 from the foul line against William Paterson (Jan. 14).
