Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Jason Angel has been one of the Scarlet Raptors’ top offensive threats over his two seasons at Rutgers-Camden. He led the team in scoring as a freshman and finished second on the Raptors in scoring during his sophomore season, producing seven goals (three game winners) and five assists for 19 points over his 40 career games.

Soccer 2024: Played in all 21 Rutgers-Camden games, starting nine…Took 22 shots, 12 on goal…Tied for the team lead with two goals, while adding one assist…Finished second on the team with five points (one shy of the leader)…Named Rutgers-Camden’s Raptor of the Week on September 30…Opened the season assisting on Nick Yurcho’s game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Neumann (Aug. 30)…Scored a goal in Rutgers-Camden’s 3-2 loss to Alvernia (Sept. 25)…Tallied the team’s lone goal at 49:37 in a 1-0 win over Ramapo (Sept. 28)…Took his season highs of three shots (two on goal) in games against New York University (Sept. 7) and Rutgers-Newark (a 1-0 NJAC playoff win Nov. 2)…Contributed to all nine Rutgers-Camden shutouts.
 
Soccer 2023: Played in all 19 Rutgers-Camden games, starting 18…Led the team in goals (5), assists (4) and points (14)…Tied for the team lead with two game-winning goals, with both coming in the Raptors’ first two games…Took 32 shots, 12 on goal…Named New Jersey Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week on Sept. 5…Captured Rutgers-Camden Raptor of the Week honors Sept. 5…Started and scored the winning goal in a season-opening 4-0 win over Arcadia (Sept. 1) and in a 2-0 victory over Eastern (Sept. 2)…Scored the team’s lone goal in a 1-1 tie at Wilkes (Sept. 16)…Had a big game at Immaculata during the Raptors’ 5-4 win on Sept. 18, scoring one goal and collecting his first two collegiate assists…Assisted on the team’s game-winning goal by Eric Swen in a 1-0 victory over Penn State-Abington (Sept. 20)…Also assisted on the winning goal by Matt Conger in a 1-0 win over Ramapo (Sept. 27)…Scored the Raptors’ only goal in a 1-1 tie against Rowan (Oct. 11)…Had his season high of four shots against Kean (Oct. 28).
