After playing two seasons of baseball at York College in Pennsylvania, Adam Bartholomew returned home to South Jersey in 2014, where he helped the Rutgers-Camden baseball program earn the first NCAA tournament berth in program history. Entering his senior season, he owns a .242 batting average (30-for-124) in 55 career games between Rutgers-Camden and York.
Baseball 2014: Played in 21 games, starting nine…Hit .250 with six runs, four doubles and five RBIs…Had a .333 slugging percentage…Added three walks and four HBP for a .339 on-base percentage…Successful on all three stolen base attempts…Went 3-for-4 with one RBI in his Scarlet Raptor debut against Neumann University (March 11)…Also had 2-for-4 games against Alfred State (March 19, adding a double, two runs, a stolen base and one RBI), The College of New Jersey (April 19, Game Two, adding one run and one steal) and Penn State-Brandywine (April 22, adding two doubles, one run and one RBI)…Went 1-for-1 with a double and a run scored in a NCAA tournament win over Castleton State (May 15)…Had a season-high nine putouts, in nine chances, while going 1-for-4 against Widener University (March 12).
Pre-Rutgers: Played two seasons at York (PA) College, appearing in 34 games over that span, starting 23…As a freshman in 2012, hit .269 (7-for-26) in 14 games (nine starts), with five runs, one double, one home run and seven RBIs…Collected two sacrifice flies and one sacrifice…Had a .423 slugging percentage and added two walks and two HBP for a .344 on-base percentage…Defensively, had 47 putouts, two assists and two errors for a .961 fielding percentage…During his 2013 sophomore season, started 14 of his 20 games, hitting .220 (11-for-50) with four runs, one double and six RBIs…Added one sacrifice, one sacrifice fly and one walk…Compiled a .240 slugging percentage and a .231 on-base percentage…Had a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with 21 putouts and one assist.
