Bill Calhoun joins the Scarlet Raptors’ baseball program this season, bringing decades of playing and coaching experience to the Rutgers-Camden staff.
 
A four-year letterman in a pair of sports as a baseball pitcher and a hockey center during his days at Sterling High School, Calhoun earned All-Conference Second Team honors as a junior and All-Conference First Team recognition during his senior season in baseball.
 
Playing American Legion and Rancocas Valley League baseball between 1980 and 1995, Calhoun’s accomplishments included East Coast MVP honors.
 
Calhoun has been the head coach of the South Jersey Young Guns travel baseball program since June 2009. During his years of coaching, Calhoun also has served as an assistant varsity baseball coach at Paul VI High School (2009-2022) and an assistant softball coach at Cinnaminson High School (2019-2020).
 
Self-employed for over 35 years with Home-Aid remodeling, Calhoun is a resident of Maple Shade.
